Yep last Friday, was pretty suprised it turned up so quickly as it stated a 2 week lead time.

eBuyer are showing as expecting the 16GB on the 10th of August....not sure I want to wait that long!

Ordered last friday, cancelled the order the next day and received it today.

I know someone who walked into a PC world store today and they had 10 in stock so he walked out with one...

I pre-ordered on the 2nd July and have no hope of seeing mine for another week or so...

I have also ordered from currys yesterday as I don't trust google to ever ship it out.

The 8GB's have been shipped fairly quickly all over the world but there are longer delays with the 16GB versions.

Any first impressions of it then? I know what Android is like however I've never used Jelly Bean.

What about build quality? Screen?

I should prob just go to PC World and have a peek.

Anyone that's opened theirs, is it worth keeping? I want something as good as an iPad but with more portability.

Is google's version of Siri limited to US for directions etc?

That case obscures too much of the bezel, is this a problem?

I like mine. I use my S2 a lot at home for email but then got a cheap 7" ICS Chinese jobby. That was bad but the size was perfect. The 7 is perfect, lovely screen, very quick and seems very solid to me.

I am going to pick one up from Currys after work today, they seem to have them in most stores round where I am if thats helpful?

I am excited, as this will be first proper foray into Android, and I hear that a nexus device is the only way to do it.

It's here! It's a very nice bit of kit, typing this on it...
Seems really solid, the screen's nice and it's running at a good speed. Hard to beat for the money. Really positive opinion of it so far.

I have no clue as my tab is due to deliver on 10th Aug Ebuyer! Grrrr I dropped in to my nearest curry and the reply was I think we are getting them after refit, sometime in September!

Asked if any instock in Reading (10miles away), yep 1 store has 2 in stock dont know which model! lol!

To my knowledge the case was designed for Nexus 7 only and its the only one i found with the magnet sleep function. It feels good quality, the bezel top and bottom is about 1cm thick. look the similar to pic of nexus 7.

I ordered one of these cases and got mine on tuesday. For the money i am impressed. access to all button, none of the screen is obscured, holes in the back for the speaker, can plug in cable and headphone. Adds a bit of protection as well and the carbon finish is rather nice

Looking at PC world new stock coming in friday! I'll try again. What did make me laugh was the attempt to flog other things to go with tablets! 1st was NORTON Tablet Security for android £30 and 1Tb cloud back up for £80!
Cant believe that you would need protect against "threats from viruses, malware, spyware, phishing scams and other cyber baddies" love the other cyber baddies will they protect me against the russian Mob! £30 no thank you wouldnt touch Norton!

Just ordered mine from my local HMV. £174 for the 16gb (no VAT, although some pounds appear to have been added on anyway). Was told to expect delivery in a weeks time. We'll see!
