Hi

I noticed my secondary line, Tesco/O2 down at perhaps around 6PM. Noticed this thread a short while after. It's now midnight 20 and I'm now showing full reception (not tried making a call etc)

I'm also about 1.5 miles from the O2 HQ in Slough.

I think there'll be some intense meetings tomorrow !

Cheers, Dennis!

Briefly had full signal about 5 mins ago but it's gone again. Luckily I still have wifi otherwise I'd probably have regressed to hunting by now.

I CAN'T REMEMBER HOW TO TALK TO PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT IN THE SAME ROOM AS ME.

Back on.

For now.

I notice it's not stored any text or voicemail. In fact I rang my own number and it just gave the obtainable tone.

Mine was fine yesterday, but today is flicking between full signal and 'Searching...' every 30 seconds.

Well my phone currently tells me it has no access to network (O2 PAYG)

But at least I can see (some) blue sky on Tyneside this morning.

ETA - now it's showing the O2 - UK bit.

ETA2 - no, back to No access to network.

Mines the same: searching > no service > service but no bars > full service > searching > no service etc
My work BB seems to be steady at 4 bars though.

That's very interesting.

What's it doing now?

Another O2er here, seems to be flicking between three bars of signal then none every few minutes. Working in Brighton.

Thing is, it's still "Searching" but I have good 3G reception. Odd.

York and I still have Emergency Calls Only.

Worse than yesterday in which the problem was only data, now it is completely down.

Definitely sounds like HLR.
Yah, if roaming is behaving the same way it's not the RAN. My money is still on the HLR or an authentication component it relies on.
In English please?

Two Phones here, one on PAYG one on PAYM but both under 8 months old. The PAYG shows signal and won't work, Blackberry on PAYM jus show SOS.

Boiling my piss now...

ETA Girlfriend also on O2 PAYM but has been for 5 years and hers works fine.
