Bugger - ive just made an appt at the genius bar to return my iphone.
Had no signal since lunchtime (nw london).
Called carphone warehouse and they told me to take it to the apple store. They were not aware of any problems.

Aaaaah, this may explain the little phone with a line through that appeared on my crappy Samsung.
I read the whole manual trying to decode it then when I gave up the symbol had gone on its own.

It's working now on my iPhone 3S still fooked on the 4.
I think I'll have to get an orange pay as you go phone for backup.

I had no signal at all through Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire between 1615 and 1730. Seems fine now back in Peterborough.
