Any do any PLC programming?
If so do you have any good books or website that I could buy/read.
I'm trying to learn more about Allen Bradley PLC systems, as that's what we use where i work. Training is very limited and difficult on shifts so I'm trying to do as much background reading/research I can.
And yes I am a total PLC noob.
thanks

I do a lot of PLC stuff, mainly Omron in my case.
A course from any company is going to be very expensive I'm afraid.
Most PLC's use different instruction sets for the different types of PLCs they sell, some even require different software, Omron don't, which is why I chose that make many years ago.
Start off doing basic "ladder" programming in my opinion, like relay drawings, just use "contacts and coils", as if it were a box full of relays.
Hopefully someone will pop alomg who is familiar with Allen Bradley, if you want to learn the omron stuff, I'll willingly help.

Its been a couple of years since I did anything with Allan Bradley PLC's but their programming package is called RSLogix, it is Ladder based. They also have a HMI suite called FactoryTalk (for designing touchscreen interfaces).
Both tools were very good IIRC.
ETA: The company I was working for sent me on a days training to Rockwell Automation's site in Milton Keynes, they gave me and a colleague a useful crash-course in the toolset.
