hmm, iOS starting to look rather old (if polished) now.
Not sure on the '5 now, it has to be said.

What did you want? Flashing lights? Floating banners? What would you have liked to have seen?

Would it possible to have a thread about Apple without you leaping to their defence every third post?

Excuse me? I wasn't leaping to their defence, I am asking what they would like to see. All too often people will complain about stuff without actually offering up what they would like.

rolleyes

On that note, it would be nice not to see you in an apple thread.

It looks as though most things that were US only are now available in the UK - http://www.apple.com/uk/ios/ios6/siri/ this is a UK specific page

Definitely.

Reckon I'll trade my 4S against a Lumia of some sort.

iOs is looking very tired and seems content to plod along without anything remotely groundbreaking in the near future.

+1

I do wonder what tricks people are waiting to see on a phone. I am more than happy with IOS and so are many other people so small tweaks are much better than big changes.

PMSL!!

Apple website says "iOS 6 adds new calling features to your iPhone. Now when you decline an incoming call, you can instantly reply with a text message....."

Have they really only just added this? roflroflrofl

And still no homescreen widgets.

They've continued support for the 3GS which surprised me as I thought they's start to phase it out.

This will trash my iPad won't it? Original iPad, massively slowed with the iOS 5 update, won't be touching this unless it speeds things up, any thoughts?

You can't install iOS6 onto an original iPad.

"New features for China".

You can't dial internationally and you can only get through to a state vetted operator.

I think the navigation now being TomTom based is pretty significant.

Hardley a major update then. Would have been nice to have seen something a bit different rather than the same old with a few updates to apps.

Makes upgrading to the new phone kinda pointless really. I still see no need to upgrade my 4 to a 4s or even the new 5.

Think this update would make more sence if it were called 5.2.

ETA : And about bloody time they intergrated Facebook. Taken them long enough!

Fundamentally, though, it hasn't changed since iteration 1. New features, new native apps, but the useage (much like Windows on the PC since Win 95) hasn't changed much.

I see no reason for it to.

+ 1. Planning to use the iOS upgraded Iphone or the new minipad as my new sat-nav for the car.
