I loaded the factory image last night as I have been using purity ROM before. Seems pretty slick. Like some of the new features. How long before I root again.. not long I suspect!
I got it OTA last night smile No need for messing.

I sold my N4 recently for about £80 (thought it would go for more, but it did have a few hairline scratches). Pleased with my OPO but kinda gutted that N4 already has Lollipop!

When running a custom rom/recovery that option isn't possible. Was much easier to reflash to factory than I expected.

Mine updated last night.

Seems OK but looks a little bit too "iOS" with some of the new menus.

Mine updated last night. Two things.

  1. It's eating battery in a manner reminiscent of one of the earlier iOs updates
  2. I can't work out how to remove phone access from the lock screen (emergency or otherwise). Any ideas? It had better not be stuck there as that would be a wonderfully retarded design decision for anyone with young kids prone to fiddling with phones...
Have a horrible feeling I prefer Kitkat...

Mine updated last night, not sure I'm convinced, unlocking now requires an additional Swype and I don't like the tabs and apps all on one screen.

BUT worse, I can't use Skype on either the N4 or the N7, the app opens but it won't connect. I don't appear to be alone with this but I can't see a fix - any suggestions?

There's a setting in Chrome to disable that.

Thanks, I'll have a fiddle with it.

Yep. Got the phone at launch and then dropped it about a month later! Most annoyed. Was a bit fiddly but easy enough. Hardest bit was getting the battery out as it's glued in place. It bends a little... but still worked alright. Depending how old the phone is I'd be tempted to put a fresh one in at the same time.

Mine is currently sitting waiting for me to download and install Lollipop but after hearing various stories about abysmal battery life and loads of apps not working I think i'll hang fire!

I am also about to switch to my new Z3C anyway and gonna factory reset the N4 so I can give it to my daughter for part of her christmas.

I didn't notice a battery difference yesterday but I only used it for data yesterday, no calls.

Skype is a pain and I've now had two periods where neither N4 or N7 will connect to the WiFi, it may be a router problem but last night it resolved without having to reboot the router.

I nearly updated the N7 only, kinda wish I'd left the N4 alone for a bit....

Halifax App doesn't work, not too much of an issue, being rooted I was unable to use it before anyway. Generally I like it, the extra swipe to unlock when you have a pin code is a little annoying, I guess clear the notifications.

Any thoughts on the missing gallery?

I've got Lollipop running on my N4 and both a 2013 and 2012 N7. No issues with any of them.
Agree the new photos is st, hence I extracted the apk of the KitKat gallery before I updated my N4. It works fine on Lollipop.
Drop me a message and I'll email a link to it on my Drive.
Also the newest Lloyd's app doesn't work with Art and since Dalvik is no more its now borked, I extracted the apk of an old version to use with Lollipop.
Over all I like it, the Material design is nice looking and the better notifications are welcome as is the built in torch feature, not ground breaking as I had an app installed but least its better integrated now.
