LG Google Nexus 4

The Moto X is a pretty pure device isn't it?
Apparently so.Doesn't seem to have an LED other than a single colour green one, but does have "Active Display" which sounds interesting.
Apparently there is a major phone expo early March where new models (more than usual) are announced so maybe that'll drive some prices down on existing high end models.
MWC should be good this year. Plenty of new phones going to be announced so very much looking forward to it.
Sony has been impressive lately and they don't bloat the st out of their UI as much as Samsung/LG do.
Knowing what I'm like though, I'll wait till October then buy the new Nexus.

I have replaced the battery on mine but it's not made much difference to how long it lasts. I guess I use it too much.
Tried greenify, not sure that makes much difference either.
Tempted by a G3, they seem good value compared to the M8/Z3 etc, like the MicroSD slot and removable battery. You can get some very big batteries to go in it, I know it makes the phone chunky, but could be useful when you know you are going to be away for a bit..

Moto X is still the thick end of £400 and I'm buggered if I can find anywhere on the high street that has a lot of these phones in to physically look at.
I fancy checking out a Nexus 6 too - though it sounds like it'll just be too damned big.
Then a little part of me thinks why not just get a Moto G to scratch the "something new" itch as it's not like I push the N4.
That bloody RGB LED is proving tricky to replace.

If you're considering a Nexus 6, how about a Oneplus One? It has an RGB LED and Cyanogen is so close to stock Android. I fancy checking out a Nexus 6 too - though it sounds like it'll just be too damned big.

I loved mine but the size was an issue for me.

had the same thought an LG g3 seems to tick all the boxes that a 4 meets and yet you can add an Sd card and carry a spare battery...Tried greenify, not sure that makes much difference either.

My LG G3S is pretty good compared to the N4. Perhaps a tiny bit laggy switching between screens but not a disaster. Right about the N4 not getting 5.02, I switched my one back on and no update as of yet. Im interested to see if it cures all the issues. Goes to show Google arent giving the backup they promised.
Im hoping if they update the G3S to Lollipop that it doesnt inherit the issues my N4 had!

Bit of a cost cutting exercise on a G3. Less powerful and less memory though it does have micro sd expansion up to 64gb - think I went 32 as I dont need that much! Again, I bought it due to LG having made the N4, and that (perhaps) Lollipop had caused more issues than solved as the G3S runs KitKat.

I'm spending more and more time away with work now and the N4 just wasn't cutting it battery wise any more.
Spent some time reading about battery life and discovered the Xperia Z3. Been using it since Friday and charged it 3 times. 4G connected 24/7 with heavy use from 8am til bed time. Freedom at last.
The N4 is definitely still a great phone and after a factory reset was running like lightning, but glad I changed at last.

5.1 OTA update is avaible for anyone still using their Nexus 4 - Direct download link
I'm impressed that they're still updating it, considering it was released 2.5 years ago.
