That's a bloody brilliant phone ^
Was in the company of some like-minded mountain men a couple of weeks ago. The inevitable happend and the phone ended up in pint of beer!
Much amusement was found in phoning it and watching the thing happily vibrate in the pint
Is that the one with the little hoop on top? What model is it? I was too puggled to remember and I could really do with getting one to chuck in my rucksack.

Yes they are VERY weather resistant. My first went though a 65 degree wash in my MTB shorts and still works although it killed the camera. The second (one above) has just survived being left to soak in my MTB shorts overnight without a problem. They really are indestructible little things, and best of all get great reception when in the middle of nowhere; unlike most smart phones.
Sorry for the O/T OP.

No problem, I appreciate phones like that as well . Besides, looks like they are almost as customisable as the iPhone looking at this thread .Yes they are VERY weather resistant. Although there is an iPhone shot on page 1 that is pretty heavily customised, and looks very nice indeed.
That said though, when I used to have the iPhone (3G and then a 4), Jailbreaking it used to come with performance / stability compromises, noticeably less smooth and quick. I tried customising mine, and for the most part succeeded but it was a pain. Maybe things are better now?
Although with an Android you don't actually need to root (read Jailbreak) to give you a very different look, although its easier if you do and comes with no real performance penalty.

Wiff, presumably that is rooted?
Nope! Running the standard ROM and unrooted.Running Nova Launcher which gets rid of the ugly TouchWiz interface and icons. Also allows you to have that scrollable dock along the bottom, meaning you can put folders in the dock which group applications together (I've got 'Tools', 'Transport', 'Social' and 'Google' for my commonly used apps)
You can switch between the Nova Launcher and the standard Samsung Launcher using Home Manager

TouchWiz is more than just the launcher its the entire interface. Its hard to get rid of all of it without flashing a Vanilla based ROM (which usually comes with sacrifices such as bugs and battery life).
Ah, yes, that's true. I phrased it poorly in my above post. But, you don't have to see [most of] the objectionable ugly bits of TouchWiz when using something like Nova Launcher.
Given that the stock ROM + Nova are rock solid, I don't really feel the desire to flash to an alternative at the moment. Especially now that Google are releasing 'vanilla' Android apps on the Play Store, to give you the stock feel (see the new Google Calendar app).

Yeah I've just put the Google Calendar, Keyboard and Messaging app on my Galaxy Note 2. Much more refined looking. Keyboard is excellent. But, you don't have to see [most of] the objectionable ugly bits of TouchWiz when using something like Nova Launcher.

I'm using Nova Prime on mine, also stock ROM but rooted and I've done a couple of other mods. I don't really see much of TouchWiz at all now!
Ok, this is gonna be a daft question but bear with me.
In the S3, is it possible to separate the apps in the app drawer into folders?
What I'm getting at is, let's say there's a few apps you neither want, nor use, but short of rooting, you can't remove them. I understand, however, that you can disable apps. That being so - can you create folders within the app drawer and stick the unused apps in there?
