Meh, it's all phone/unit specific ime. On my iPhone I had problems with my in car, but not with my bluetooth headset. My Motorola was the other way around. My S2 does both without problems.http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Nokia-Lumia/Lumia-...

I can't get my Lumia 820 to work with the Bluetooth kit in my car, I should probably have a look at that thread. It connects but then doesn't do anything, when playing music or making a call there's not sound at all.http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Nokia-Lumia/Lumia-...

Without wishing to state the bleeding obvious....have you turned up the sound on the phone? I only say this, as I got very frustrated with my phone the other day...doing exactly this, caller could hear me, and I couldnt hear them! Having rebooted the phone 3 times and swearing I would never buy another Nokia....I then realised the phone volume was on 0! My son had been playing with it!croyde said:

My W7 Lumia 800 works perfectly with my Google accounts. I don't think I'll upgrade for a while as I'm really happy with it - the best phone I've had by miles. It's got excellent reception too, but it is a Nokia so only to be expected to work well as a telephone.I saw the Blackberry 10 demoed in Cambridge a month or so ago. It looks fantastic, even better than MS WP. I really hope they survive and prosper.

Yep done this before (710), had it on silent for work, ringing the gym, wondering why it wasn't ringing/answering, then it twigged, just as they put the phone down no doubt after shouting down it. Used the work phone to ring again 
Also, WTF is a "yellow slash"? Or is someone going to use woosh parrot in a moment...

It supports particular bluetooth profiles, which your car may not support and vice versa. It was the same with the WP7 phones
If your buying any phone it is best to check what it will work with first
Had my 920 for 4 weeks now, still really loving it.
A couple of comments to a couple of posts in here... Bluetooth connectivity, I've had no issues with this... I leave it on 24/7 (which I think is helping to drain my battery in a day and a half), but it connects seamlessly with my car every time.
I'm still waiting for my wireless charger and my free wireless radio from Phones4u which is a bit annoying.
I've had a couple of failed updates, but on reading the forums, this is due to either the update being pulled, or not available for my 'region' (UK).
The photo's are excellent, but I do find sometimes the picture initially focuses razor sharp, but drops back ever-so-slightly as it takes the picture, leaving them a little soft.
The Nokia 'lenses' are very good too, and the cinemagraph (animated pictures) is good fun - shame you can't export them as gifs, it seems like a logical thing to do?!
I didn't see it mentioned in here, but if you don't have it already, the "Photobeamer" app is a must. Tts a nokia only app, but it is incredible.
You go to any computer, or internet enabled device (including smart TV's etc), go to photobeamer.com and the website will show a QR code.
When you open the photobeamer app (and select a photo) it will open the camera to scan the code - then, rather amazingly it sends the pictures from your phone to the screen. So you can do a slideshow from your phone to any screen. Very impressive stuff.

You can do this - if you connect your phone to the PC with the USB cable, then go through Computer > your phone and navigate your way to the camera roll you should see GIF files in there. You will need to make sure your phone is passcode unlocked after you connect it, otherwise it won't let you browse the phone's files and copy them to your PC. You're best off viewing the GIF in a web browser too, ironically they often handle them better than the built-in Windows photo viewers!How are you finding the other Nokia apps?

I think all of the Nokia applications are brilliant! I'm so used to seeing bundled applications as nasty, bodged pieces of poo but Nokia has made some real effort with them and it shows.
Interestingly, I have both a Lumia 920 and 820 at the moment and there are some interesting differences between the two that are worth noting. The 820's AMOLED screen is significantly brighter than the 920's IPS but, having said that, the 820's is over saturated and the colour balance isn't brilliant; as in you may struggle to discern between a low value red and a high value orange. The 820's screen also has a much better range when it comes to viewing angle but then again, how many people look at their screens from a 45° angle?
Performance wise, they're identical, as you'd expect. The 920's camera is obviously much better but the 820's isn't exactly shabby. Battery life on the 820 is also much better and you'll easily get 3 days out of it, compared to 1.5 days out of the 920. The 820 has removable, swappable cases (including wireless charging) and allows you to swap the battery or shove in a MicroSD card, should you need it. Finally, the 820 feels nicer in the hand if you're scared by the 920's himalayan dimensions.

You're preaching to the uh... 'hymn writer' here so that's nice to hear!I've been using my 920 much more than an 820 (or 620 now!), but the screens are always a trade-off I think. You get much higher resolution and I don't think the 820 has the fast screen refresh of the 920, but don't quote me on that.
I'm very quickly getting used to the 920's size and finding my 800 feels tiny rather than the 920 feeling huge.
