I was at a BBQ, getting the camera ready, the OH next to me. And I was stumped, alternating between landscape and portrait, she looked at me: wtf are you doing, take the picture. I was like: it's not working??

Took me half a minute to figure out what was going on, only because I have something similar with the dash display in the car (tilting my head makes it disappear).

Late to the party on these but thought why not as my BlackBerry is on its last legs.

I had a bit of an issue for a while with the camera continuously focusing and losing focus making snaps hard to catch. It went away for a while and this latest update seems to have made it better but I still can't help noticing it has slight issues. Anyone else have this?

Mine is similar to this, I am on my second nexus 5 too, after breaking my first one. I find the camera really poor, especially in low light conditions.

The camera app updated for me this morning - don't know if that solves any of the issues you've been having?

Is the camera lens clean? I've noticed that even an apparently invisible layer of finger grease can affect the quality of photos so maybe it's throwing out the focus mechanism too.

Nope. Cleaned several times. Quite bizarre to be honest. Was absolutely fine then over the last few months decides to go nutty focusing. I could perform a factory reset, but I've got far too many things saved on here to be added with that. I have performed a few reboots but the issue still persists.

Any word on the new Nexus yet? My 4 is starting to feel it's age I think.

How is battery life for people on their Nexus 5s now? Mine was adequate when I bought the phone back in January but it's just rubbish now. Take it off charge at 7.30 or so, down to a single figure percentage by 4pm with a few bits of web browsing. Checking the battery use, mostly it's down to the screen but there is nothing out of the ordinary. I can't leave the house without a portable phone battery charger.

I've had the phone 9 months, non replaceable battery, was planning on hanging onto it for 2 years. Please God will they just make the phones a bit bigger and stick a decent battery in?

I don't think mine's deteriorated much if at all. If I hammer it I can struggle to make a full day but that's very rare.

Can't say mine has changed much. Off charge for 16 hours or so every day and usually has 40% or so left at the end. Helps that it's on wifi at home and work which more than halves the power draw on standby.

What can hammer it is if I use Waze to avoid traffic on my way home. Eats through most of that 40% in the hour or so journey if I don;t plug in the charger.

One small niggle that seems to always have been present with Chrome on my N5 is the

'Unfortunately, Google Bookmarks Sync has stopped working' error dialog which pops up every time the phone is rebooted/powered on.

The reality is that the bookmarks sync fine across all devices, but the History from Chrome on my N5 doesn't sync with any other device or logged-in version of Chrome.

It's not a biggie, but does anybody know if there's a reason or fix etc ?

Just to be clear, History from all devices sync to my N5, but the History from my N5 does not sync to any other device.
And all Bookmarks always sync correctly, it is only the history from the N5 is the problem.

have you got Chrome Sync ticked in Chrome Account in Settings?

Open Chrome > Click 3 Dots > Settings > Click Account name at top > Click Account Name again > Is Sync everything ticked? or just a few.

My phone has been suffering from the dreaded reboot loop issue. You have to spam the power button to get it working again. It really has been pissing me off for the last week as it has been a daily occurance. It even left me without a phone to be used for 2 days.

Google have stated that a replacement will be on its way once I receive and respond to their email.
