Yup I had that, had to make sure the Chromecast power cable went nowhere near the aerial cable.

I had to restart chrome after the chromecast had finished fully booting up, to get it to show up for me.

You can now cast your whole Phone / Tablet screen to the Chromecast smile Tested with a driving game and it was around .5 second delay but just about usable. Sound is also cast to the TV even if the Tablet/phone has the volume at Zero.

Much more useful bit of kit now!

The ChromeCast App was updated Today from v1.5.5 to v1.7 this allows you to o this, not all devices support as yet though, Mainly Nexus devices and a few other high end Phones/Tabs.

Some details here, as you can see it is still BETA

Yes. ps off :P

I think it says it's for Android 4.4.2 - I'm using Cyanogenmod 10.2 which is 4.3 which might do it..

I was able to do this on my Nexus 5 prior to the Chromecast app update (which I now also have). You pull down the notification bar - switch to the settings toggles - Cast Screen option pops up at the bottom if it detects a Chromecast on the network.

This option has been showing for a while previously but failed to work. Tried it the other night and it just started working. Must have been a firmware update on the Chromecast itself prior to the app update.

If you don't have this option: In the new chromecast app there is a Cast screen option as well.

Use a short HDMI extension cable to move the dongle to a position where it's no longer an issue smile
