This is being rolled out right now:https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/60594...
There is a hack to get it running on other devices if you are rooted. See a few posts up.

I may go to CM11 for this.

Nothing changed although the first film I tried had the same error page but second was a dream.
Make sure the film is actually playing on your PC before hitting the cast button on the lower right side by the film time indicator.
Good luck
Tried again this morning, the exact same method and again no luck. You are the lucky one !Make sure the film is actually playing on your PC before hitting the cast button on the lower right side by the film time indicator.
Good luck
I have the unblock US dns servers on my iMac so I log into Netflix using the Chrome Browser and start the film but don't hit the nice big Cast icon on the bottom right showing the film running time. This will only start Netflix on your telly and then an error message.
As the film starts move your mouse to bring the upper browser menu bar in view and hit the small Casting icon that you can see top right and it works for me.
I hope it does for you guys.
Bugger it was late when I wrote that and now trying to watch Netflix this way I realise that the Plasma is only getting the picture not the sound as the browser casting is just mirroring what is on my iMac screen.
Sorry.
ETA Really don't understand now as it has no problem sending the film with audio from a dodgy site.

Have you got the Chromecast extension added to your Chrome Browser on your ChromeBook?
Have you seen this how to?
http://chromecasthelp.net/
Bored again last night (5 days in a row of not drinking) I scoured the web to sort out my Unblock US, Chromecast and Technicolor router problem and have finally sorted it.
I had already got into the firmware of the router to change it's DNS settings but the Chromecast is hard wired to Google's own DNS settings.
Turns out the trick is to tell the router to ignore the Chromecast settings and make sure that it doesn't keep reverting to the default ISP settings every few days.
I'm with Plusnet, so this may not help all but if you are savvy enough it might do.

So the above changes your settings where you replace the suggested DNS addresses with Unblock US or your preferred choice then you add 2 more addresses which effectively blocks the Chromecast settings. Note where metric=10 change to metric=5 as this will stop the router defaulting every now and then.
Blocking the Chromecast:

so start this at section 5 after you have just added your Unblock US DNS settings.
A palaver I know but now I have the superior US Netflix on all the devices in my flat and can Cast from any of them to the Plasma. I'm no techy so if I can do it

To make it simpler this is a step by step list of what I did. This is for OSX.
Open Terminal.
If you make a typing error just press enter and it will say invalid command and just start that line of code again.
If you have made a complete balls up with the DNS or IP entries just type in section 3 again and continue.
Press enter after each line of code has been typed.
1. telnet 192.168.1.254
2. Admin name then enter, password then enter.
3. Flush the plusnet dns servers
Code:
dns server route flush
4. Add Unblock US smart dns servers
Code:
dns server route add dns=208.122.23.22 metric=5 intf=Internet
Code:
dns server route add dns=208.122.23.23 metric=5 intf=Internet
5. Add static routes for google dns servers
Code:
ip rtadd dst=8.8.8.8/32 gateway=192.168.1.254
Code:
ip rtadd dst=8.8.4.4/32 gateway=192.168.1.254
6. save!
Code:
saveall

FFS!!! lolNot an issue really, but the £5 BlinkBox credits would have been handy!!
Walked into tesco yesterday and, as I had previously thought about picking up a chrome cast there before (only they were out of stock), I thought I'd just check to see what they had. They had 2 chrome casts left on the shelf for a mere £18. Bought one, don't regret it, nice little way to modernise an older TV.
