How do you screen mirror on an iPad?

You can't they haven't developed it yet. I've tried to do it today but after endless research they haven't developed it.

That is what I thought, but Otis seems to imply it is possible.

I'm guessing he talking about Apple TV and not Chromecast.

Looks like Firefox is doing tab mirroring from the mobile browser - not sure if it's just Android though...

X-Men (original film) is available for free from the Google Play Store via Chromecast offers.

Start up your Chromecast
Connect via the Chromecast app
menu - check for offers etc

Ps if you've never done that before yo might find more offers you haven't used yet like 1 months Now TV movies, or 3 months Now TV Entertainment and maybe others.

Chromecast + Plex + Server under stairs with all our DVD's on it (now in loft, honest guv) + my kids like watching random stuff on you tube (simple stuff like opening toy boxes and displaying the toys has them transfixed) might mean I can dump cable TV and the line rental on the fixed land line.

Really considering this now, will save me £40 a month, Nick Jnr was the only reason we paid, am I ready to take the plunge?

If you haven't got it already, Netflix at £5 per month will give you far more value than the cable package.

Bit of a thread resurrection. I've got a Chromecast on its way and just want to check it will work for what I need. I have a Plusnet router that provides wifi in the house, and Powerline adapters to give me Wifi hotspot in the garage. Will the Chromecast work ok connected to the wifi provided over the powerless adapters?

Question:

Android tablet. Playing/streaming a movie file stored on Google Drive.

With a Chromecast doofer, can I flick it from the tablet to the TV?

I'm not sure what app playing the film is called. The default movie player it came with.

I've used LocalCast, but only on occasion, but it also streams from Drive.

Yes there are several casty apps, I recommended Allcast as I've used it for some years and it just works and you don't need to be a rocket scientist to work it.

Anyone want to buy my chromecast - I've used it twice I think.

Not quite sure I get the point of it.
