New? It already has on the Apple store.
Second hand? As soon as people have their new phones the market will flood and prices will go down.
I went into the EE shop on Monday looking for a new Iphone and the salesbloke suggested waiting until the new one had come out as the monthly prices for the existing models would drop? Second hand? As soon as people have their new phones the market will flood and prices will go down.
I'm guessing if the handset cost has gone down then the contract rates would have gone down as well - no?

Vodafone online had in stock next to their 128GB 6 contracts.
I spoke to their online help and they said they are not in stock but still taking orders.
I was about to go for one too but don't fancy waiting 2-3 weeks.
Vodafone sent me an email confirming mine for friday, then had a phone call this morning saying it wouldnt be till monday. I spoke to their online help and they said they are not in stock but still taking orders.

Why does everyone want this phone on the first day it's out.
Next week the posts will be full of first adopters problems.
When the 5 was announced everyone went into a frenzy as usual yet I walked past a number of stores in release day and guess what? No queues and plenty in stock.
I'll wait until I actually get to see and play with one then decide it's a waste of money as I do every year

Having the newest thing out is a main attraction Next week the posts will be full of first adopters problems.

I think I will go Vodafone Friday morning to see if they do have any stock in.

I've got the email with my order number on and if I use this on their "track my order" website my current status is shown as:-"Your phone is picked in our warehouse, and is ready for delivery. We'll let you know when it's with our courier and on it's way to you"
So guess I should be getting it Friday as promised

Well if you live near Wimbledon, there is a store that looks like an Apple Shop, sells only Apple stuff but is not the real thing although the stock is. I'm betting it will be overlooked and they'll have stock.
Good luck.
I'm betting that they won't. A quick Google shows that the Wimbledon store is an Apple Reseller (a company by the name of Stormfront), and carry everything except phones. They will stock iPhone accessories, but not the handsets themselves.Good luck.
There's one near me in Ipswich (a different company by the name of Albion) and on iPhone release day they get inundated with requests for the phones, and the staff have told me that people can get quite angry when they are told that they don't stock them.
I wouldn't want to be working in one on Friday.

I just get invalid request. "Your phone is picked in our warehouse, and is ready for delivery. We'll let you know when it's with our courier and on it's way to you"

You are correct. Loads of iPods but no phones. On the day that the 5 was due out I walked into an O2 store and an Orange one and guess what no queues and plenty of stock. This was in SW London.

Mine says 'Preparing for Dispatch'. I don't think I'll get it this week.
