Ive just bottled my 6 purchase and stayed with Android BUT my local Vodafone shop seemed to think theyd have decent stock on Friday and had minimal pre orders - thats out of the town centre (where theres another Voda shop) in the provinces, I suspect Oxford Street may not be so accommodating

I think maybe I've matured over the last 2 years...

Quite happy with my 5 until this stuff has died down.

My 5 is battered and bruised but it does what I need it to do which is help me work in my daily work.

Don't get me wrong, I passed on my daily wk to get the 5 when it came out, was there at the crack of dawn. But only because my 4 was unusable.

I've never had an 'S' - I'm considering waiting...

I've read Apple have had 4m reservations as opposed to 2m iPhone 5 pre order reservations.

I've read Apple have had 4m reservations as opposed to 2m iPhone 5 pre order reservations.

I made a reservation as early as possible when the 5 came out, got there about an hour before opening and apparently was the first person in the NW to get the 5 (made it into the national press which was embarrassing). Required minimal effort though. Got there at 8 and was in the office with the phone set up (and bored of it) by 9am.

They did decide to open the store at 8:30am rather than 9:00am.

I've also now got iOS8 on my 5... it's just not exciting me... and I'm the excitable type.

I ordered a 6 and a 6+ from Apple at 0840 on pre order day.

The 6 is on it's way for Friday and the 6+ is due for delivery between 30/9 and 3/10! (Especially annoying as the 6+ is mine and the 6 for my wife!)

I'm an Apple lover (Iphone 3, 4S, 5S, 5C, Ipod, MacBook) but I have never understood this obsession to get the gadget as soon as it comes out!

5.8gb needed of free space to install ios8! What a fking joke. My 5 is only 16gb, 13gb useable, so I need to remove half of everything to install it. Glad I went for the 64gb 6 now.

I don't get it either. But I am guilty of it.

In a pitiful moment, I ordered the new 6. It won't be much better than my 5S, and yet I had to have it. Ordering it gave me momentary joy in an otherwise useless existence.

Can't wait.
