Battery is noticeably better, took it off charge at 11, used all day and still at 57%!!

I knew this would come up in reply, so predictable

The reason is because of embarrassment at having bought yesteryears phone today's prices, knowing that the iPhone isn't as good as phones offered by other manufacturers. I may be a Android user, doesn't make me a fanboi though, I don't crave the latest device and fawn over it like has been shown in here.

Online reservations opened at 12 last night so I've reserved a 6 for this afternoon. I knew I shouldn't have ordered a 6+!

Failed to find an EE store or Carphone Warehouse that had any stock.

However, I've just managed to secure a space grey 64GB 6 and the same again in silver for pickup at this lunch time at Apple!

No 6 Plus in stock, which supports the reports that the stock is in short supply due to the poor yield on the larger screens.

I had a quick word with one of the staff members outside the Brum store yesterday evening and he said to check again later yesterday evening or this morning and there might be a reservation link. He said all of their day 1 stock had been reserved or snapped up by people in the long stand-by queue, but not everybody who reserved one came to pick it up.

No sales tax, but good luck trying to buy an iPhone 6 without an ID Card and HK Address within a month or two of it's release. I was in HK for four months this time last year and there was a reservation system that required HK ID for what little iPhone 5S availability there was. I ended up ordering online to our apartment address instead.

I picked my 6 up in the US today and the queue for buying iPhones with out pre-order was massive and was all Chinese. Apparently it is like this across the US as they are buying them and sending them to relatives in China to sell at 3 times the price

I have no problems getting one as my relatives can source one anyway. It does pi55 me off all the Chinese mainlanders flood into HK to do the same but it's a free market as they say. But one thing is for sure, I ain't paying full UK price for a phone ever.

It's just a 5. Their text system is cocked up, just had an other telling me the amazon text was a mistake and my iphone is not in store, even though online it says it is!

You're enough of a fanboy to feel the need to hunt down an apple thread to share your opinion. It is true, you never see Apple fans joining threads just to slag other makes off. We seem to understand the concept of personal choice more than you lot.

I think they've pulled store stock of the Plus to fulfil online orders. I ordered a Plus on launch day at 0840, it was due for delivery no earlier than 30/9. Over the past few days I've had mails saying it will first be here on Mon 22nd, then another last night saying it will be here today! Tracking shows it as being in Korea though. So I'm assuming the have reallocated store stock to online.

I'm returning my Plus though. I know it will be too big even before I've got it!

If it says it's in Korea, it's still in Korea. Apple say the emails were a mistake and UPS are aware of the emails also. I had the email too, but it's coming on Monday.
