I think I might go and pick one up soon from Apple. Does anyone know what I do about getting a SIM card? I have an iPhone 4 on an O2 30day rolling contract but that's the wrong size sim? Obviously don't want to lose my number, so can't just get an O2 sim from Apple can I?
Just go into your local O2 shop and ask for a Nano sim. They'll give you one free, then use the online Sim Swap and you're done.I swapped my Grans sim online last night and it was done by this morning.

If it says it's in Korea, it's still in Korea. Apple say the emails were a mistake and UPS are aware of the emails also. I had the email too, but it's coming on Monday.
Happy to be proved wrong, mind!
I've just spoken to Apple who say that they can't explain the email saying that delivery will be today (20th). They said to expect it Monday as per the tracking on UPS, although that has now updated to "Scheduled delivery information is not available at this time. Please check back later," and it's been stuck in Korea since yesterday.Happy to be proved wrong, mind!
One of the undisclosed spec was battery size but one has been taken apart and the 6+ has a 2915mAH battery - Gizmodo Australia: iFixit's iPhone 6 Plus Teardown Finds Oversized Battery, 1GB Of RAM. http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2014/09/ifixits-live-iph...

Come on!
Where are the stories of disappointment?
Weird coloured screens, gaps, borked OS, terrible reception for just making calls etc
Plenty of moaning on Twitter, but they will be the types that Apple specially made thr reversible USB plug for, because putting a USB plug in the right way up was so hard for them.Where are the stories of disappointment?

I've been laughing this morning at the Australian who was one of the first to pick a 6 up after queuing, then opening the box to show the news reporter and it falling out of the box on to the pavement.

Thanks, 6 128gb ordered for the Mrs.
Should be OK tonight then
No 6 Plus for me, out of stock.
I think they've pulled store stock of the Plus to fulfil online orders. I ordered a Plus on launch day at 0840, it was due for delivery no earlier than 30/9. Over the past few days I've had mails saying it will first be here on Mon 22nd, then another last night saying it will be here today! Tracking shows it as being in Korea though. So I'm assuming the have reallocated store stock to online.Should be OK tonight then

I'm returning my Plus though. I know it will be too big even before I've got it!
The 6+ is simply too big for me for everyday use. I work with the phone in my pocket and the 6+ won't fit and allow me to move around as I do (we design and build exhibition stands).
If the 6+ hadn't been available I'd still have been happy with the 6 so I'm comfortable with my decision.
Had to buy a new cradle for he car as the standard 6 would not fit into the old one.
Discovered that the cradle is stable enough to use the phones camera out the windscreen.... Timelapse video now has a use
Very cool and geeky watching my 10min drive home played in super clear fast forward

That's crazy. I walked into Carphone Warehouse maybe 15 miles away from here and they had 16Gb and 128Gb versions available in any colour with no queue at all.
That's because the Apple-direct phones are unlocked and SIM-free while the CPW stock will be locked to the first network SIM card inserted and registered and will require a contract.V8A*ndy said:
looking for advice here.
The 6 is tempting me away from Android and I currently have a rolling monthly contract with unlimited everything on 3G with Orange.
If I buy a Sim free phone can I swap over OK without much hassle. Even the phone being off for a couple of hours is a mare.
Yes it will swap fine. I'm not sure what size SIM you have in your Android though. The 6, like the 5, uses a micro SIM.The 6 is tempting me away from Android and I currently have a rolling monthly contract with unlimited everything on 3G with Orange.

The 6 is also 4G compatible, worth thinking about.
