Apologies if this has been covered already. I'm in the States in a weeks time and am looking for advice on whether the 4G function of phone bought in the US will work in the UK.

It appears you can only buy the model that's compatible with UK 4G on a contract in USA. The sim free option, I believe, isn't compatible.

Right then, phone collected. O2 had crap cases, what's best, bar the apple case? Or should I stop being tight?
I've got a spare unused yellow spigen case which I'm looking to sell. Pm me if you're interested.

According to UPS my phone is still in Korea where it's been for the last 24 hours. If it's to get to the UK, be sorted and transferred to my local depot for dispatch to my house on Monday it had better get a move on...

I tried a 6 and a 6+ in the Apple Store today. I was pretty sure that I would want the 6+ - more screen real estate and better battery life.

Having held both, I think the 6 is the right size. The 6+ is a bit too big in the hand. It is also a bit too heavy. They both felt flimsier than I'd have liked too.

So the complaint for the 6 seems to be the really loud vibrate mode. I wonder if that's easily fixable in software? smile

Putting the 6+ in my pocket definitely confirmed the 6 was the one for me.

I walked into a three shop today and picked up a 6 on contract, 6+ was to big for me( upgraded from a iphone4) Also picked up a flexible case for £8

My only gripe so far is game center hadn't loaded saved settings from my game apps, but that's more than likely my fault,

After a bit of fiddling and loading music, some TV shows etc. I've only got 20Gb free on my 12Gb 6.

Just goes to show when you load stuff you may want to watch quite a lot of memory almost isn't enough!

I travel a lot around Europe and use my iPhone as a player on the long and boring journeys sop 128Gb couldn't come soon enough.

I do really like the double tap pull down of the gui for one handed use. Thought it was a gimmick when I first heard of it, but it's genuinely very useful!

Got myself a 6 today from apple in reading.

I have a 6plus due on Monday that will be going straight back. It's comically big! The extra real estate is very appealing, but the practicality just isn't there IMO.

Just returned the iPhone 6 plus, it's just too big and I found typing one handed a little on the tricky side. The phone didn't feel that stable. Also with a case fitted which I always buy the phone was quite heavy. I wish they did a 5" model as that would have been perfect but it's the iPhone 6 I will be going for.

I've posted earlier that the 6 is just too big.

I've changed to a 6 and it's perfect, and it can fit in my pocket when I want it to!

The Sim-Free one in the US is the GSM model and will work here. LTE/4G bands appear to now be standard across UK/US iPhones so shouldn't be a problem.

Apparently the warranty will not be valid in the UK if anything happens it though. Something to consider.

My mail doesn't work. I've 3 profiles and none of them get mail, nor do the new one I setup. Rebooted and still nothing. Anyone else get this?

ETA: seems it's just my exchange accounts, Google apps basically.
