No, no issues here, two different vehicles and both connected ok once I went through the different pairing routines for both car and truck.

Yes. Connected. Tried making a call but it cut off straight away.

bout time, it must have learnt about my post as its the first time in a few months that its actually had a signal and not taken 30 seconds to load a simple page.

When they made the (now obsolete) iPhone4 they didn't bother to get anyone left handed to check it, so if you are left handed and sweat abit, like me, it touches the aerials and you loose almost all the signal, really stupid design.
Well, just don't hold it that way?
Makes no difference once its sweaty. Its a well known problem.
Bit of a whoosh parrot needed? smile

I never had the "death grip" on my 4S. I thought they fixed it in the 4S. Reception quite poor all round though, holding it or not.

Here are my experiences after 1 day of iPhone 6 ownership.

It's really big. I'm still getting used to the size after coming from an iPhone 4. The 4 was so much easier to shuffle around in one hand. Even though the 6 is slimmer, it bulges out a bit when in a front pocket due to being wider. For some reason MrsTwo’s Plus seems less frustrating in this respect, because it’s so large you never have any misconceptions about being able to use it one handed and treat it more like a tablet.

I've put an Apple silicone case on it and it's really nice. Without the case it was very slippery and I was really worried about dropping or scratching it. The Apple case is expensive but feels very good quality.

The screen is bigger, which is nice, but it's the same ppi as the 4 so doesn't really have the wow factor that you got when they first released the retina displays.

The speaker is better and louder which can be useful in noisy environments.

Everything is much faster, even things I didn't expect to be like WiFi and app installations.

I had a panic moment when I though there was a problem with the display. A yellow tint kept appearing at the top of the screen in Safari and I could not work out what was going on. Eventually I realised I was being thick and the address bar is translucent and had some animated advertisement running under it!

Initially the battery life seemed about the same. That said, I was using it quite a bit more than my old phone due to it being new. This morning I watched 25 mins of video on it and it was only down to 94% which is certainly better than the old one.

I’m happy with the phone but I can see how some are disappointed. It doesn’t feel like a leap on from the old versions and the improvements are subtle. I think it’s the kind of thing you have to live with for a while to really appreciate the differences. Once Apple Pay comes online and Yosemite (Handoff/Continuity) is released it should start to make more sense.

Does the apple case over lap the edges of the screen so if you drop it the screen won't come into contact with the ground?

Does the leather one do the same?

If so, I'll think I'll go for the red leather case. It'll look even better with wear, I think.

I think both cases are the same design but just different materials. All edges are well protected apart from the bottom front edge as this is open due to the connectors.

Yeah leather does the same I've dropped mine twice and just scuffed the leather edges a bit. It does look a lot nicer out of the case but as mentioned above it's a slippery fecker.

I use the rubber case. The camera on the back seems to stick out of the phone but not a problem in the case

I have a case, but don't use it. Why buy a nice flashy metal-and-glass phone to just put it in a cheap rubber thing? Useful when out and about though, I suppose.

Just do what I do, get a clear case, can still see all the nce design. none of the scratches.

IMHO, all the clear cases look a bit cheap and nasty.

Quick question on the official case. I use Shure earphones which have a fairly large audio jack block thing on the end. How close does the case go to the jack hole? I'm yet to find a case that I can use with my earphones.

It's funny.

Samsung brings out the Note, hordes of iPhone users: THAT's TOO BIG for a phone.
3 years on, Apple brings their answer: LET'S ORDER IT!

Precisely why I'm upgrading from my two year old 5 to a 5S rather than a 6 as it's just two big for my liking. (I have actually held and used one for half an hour and the screen and camera are very nice). I hope they make a iPhone mini that returns to the size of the 4 in the next year or two or I may be forced to reconsider android to get a smaller phone!

any comments about photos on the 6 compared to the regular 5 or 5s from people that have played with one?

Think I've decided to stick with my 5 for now, drop to sim only and use the savings to buy the 6s in a year. The Mrs however will be changing her 4 for the 6.

I agree with the cheap and nasty comment. I tried one once and it quickly got little bits of grit and fluff stuck between it and the phone. Never again.

I've got some SE215s and they have the sort of 45degree jack plug. They fit fine with my 6 and the Apple leather case.

Fwiw, I bought the brown leather case and it's pretty nice. Will definitely age well. I wanted the blue one though, that really does look very nice.
