No offence meant at all, but I'm genuinely surprised people are finding the 4.7 iPhone massive. It's no bigger than the average Android handset these days..
That's one if the two reasons I've never owned an Android phone! Until the other week, the compact size of iPhones was one of their main selling points. There are so many advantages to a smartphone being small, for example when you're doing sports you can have it with you in case of emergency, which is going to be very difficult with a 4.7 inch screened device like the iP6 - the iP4S is already on the verge of being too big for me to take with me everywhere (bike saddlebag, buoyancy aid pocket etc are already a tight fit for an 4S - the 6 just isn't viable).

I'm holding out for an iPhone Mini like someone mentioned earlier. So like VW bringing out the Polo when the Golf grew, then the Lupo, then the Fox, then the Up! etc; I'm now hoping that an iPhone Mini will emerge for those of us with the same requirements and same sized hands that we had five years ago hehe

If he can bend it that easily with his thumbs, I think in a tight pocket when you sit down with much more leverage from your leg its not looking good frown

In my job I probably sit down and stand up over 100 times a day, all with my phone in my front trouser pocket, so for me it is quite important that its not going to bend!

there is an online stock checker where you can reserve the phone if they have one.

Link please, if possible?

I'm a Galaxy S3 user and was now thinking it's time for an Iphone 6 (Even I think the 6 plus looks too big). However, I'm now having second thoughts as surely it's only a matter of time before the Iphone 6 shows signs of bending too. Therefore, think I may drift back to Android again (I've accidentally sat on my Galaxy S3 when getting in the car several times and it's survived)....

It's kind of ironic that metal bends and plastic (generally) doesn't.

I'll have you know my Nokia 6100 only carries 45 seconds of power these days, which is approx 30 seconds more than me! biggrin

BTW, I can't understand missus's emails or texts either... rofl

Of course you don't. As an early adopter whenever you sit down you take your phone out of your pocket and put it out on show so everyone can see how cool you are.

Ordered the 64GB 6 yesterday through three business. £99 upfront and £38/month +vat for a contract that I won't even come close to touching. Unlimited tethering was a big plus.

Current delivery date is 10th October so not too bad considering the consumer side were quoting 6 weeks (and more per month).

Apparently the iPhone 6+ is sooooooo massive that it bends light as it goes past.....

I'm genuinely not being obtuse here, but are people actually surprised that a large, slim device made of alu, bends after being inserted into a trouser pocket and sat on?

As I said earlier , the 6 looks and feels plasticy no where near as well made as a 4

Overall feel of the 6 is quite nice. Makes the 4 seem heavy and ridiculously tiny hehe

Isn't the issue here that it is bending even if kept in a front pocket? i.e. it isn't being sat on, just pressed against the fabric.

I didn't think it was people actually sitting on the thing (which would obviously do it too), but it bending whilst in your front jeans pocket.
