By accident, I've discovered a 6+ case and screen protector combination that fits together perfectly: this protector http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NYCC7A2?psc=... and this see-through case http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00M0TJD16?psc=...
The screen protector curves round the screen unlike cheaper glass ones, and fits perfectly into the hole left by the case (height & width) and the thickness of the case (ie the amount the case is proud of the phone) is exactly the same as the thickness of the protector. You're left with complete & seamless protection, although it does make the phone even larger of course. And there's the matter of the £40 cost, but I like that my expensive gadget is safe.
Just in case (haha) it helps someone.

Hence my post, it does work perfectly with the case I've linked to, which happens to not overlap with the screen protector.
It's the only screen protector I've seen that does cover the curved part of the screen (albeit it then makes the screen flat as you say). The first protector I got only covered the flat part of the screen.

I have a distaste for clear cases. Do they stop the screen from cracking? If so then fair enough. However, all the ones I've seen just look crap and ruin the clarity and that nice shininess you get from a clean screen.
I had my previous iPhone for about 3.5 years and whilst I was no way precious with it, the screen still looked brand new.

I have a 6+ now - the size is fine.

I'm not convinced by screen protectors either.
I've seen countless broken screens but I can't recall ever seeing a scratched one. My dog even had a little nibble on the edge of my Asus tablet once and the screen was fine
My work colleagues iPhone 5 is battered from being kept in a pocket with keys and change for a couple of years; the button's are loose, the edge is scratched to buggery but the screen is still immaculate.

I don't mean to be an arse but how? Is the protector bigger than the screen? It doesn't have any shock absorbing qualities so surely any impact would just be transferred to the phone.Check out Reddit, or the Apple forums.

My 5 was scratch-free after 18 months with no protector, but after the battery died I got a 5c just to tide me over til the 6 came out. I looked after it just the same, but its screen got loads of scratches in no time.
I figured they might've downgraded the glass, so getting a protector for the 6+ was crucial. It doesn't make the screen less clear or bright or responsive. I wouldn't want it by itself as it sits very proud if the surface, but with the clear case (no dirt inside it after 3 weeks, looks fine imo), it's all flush.

I dropped, but never managed to break the screen of IPhone 3, 3GS, 4 and 4S. I dropped my 5 onto a wooden floor and the screen smashed. I did the same with my 5S. Then I bought a glass screen protector. The next time I dropped my phone, the screen protector cracked, but the screen underneath did not.Altrezia said:

Like I say, I'm not suggesting it wont scratch, but it certainly isn't easy to do so. Hard enough to not to have to warrant a screen protector in any case.
I had my 4S three years from launch date until I got my iPhone 6 a couple of weeks ago. I had a case for the first two years and no case for the last year and never used a screen protector. It's got some fine scratches on the back, and a tiny chip on the edge from where I dropped it once, but no marks on the screen. The 4S went everywhere with me, including frequent use in the garage and outdoors when I'm doing DIY and working on cars etc and of course cycling, running, kayaking, windsurfing etc. I think it just depends how careful you are with it. I don't molly-coddle my phones, but out of respect for something that cost me hundreds of pounds, I'd never put it face down anywhere or put it in my pocket with keys or anything like that - that's just common sense. For example, if I'm underneath a car using a web page on the phone as reference or something like that, then I'd put it on a bit of wood instead of on the concrete floor, or if I'm using the timer when cooking it'll go up on a shelf instead of on the worktop near spillages, knifes etc. With my iPhone 6 I've again got a pouch case for when I'm away from home, but at home I just use it as it is, abiding by the same principles of just being careful and it's currently completely unmarked.
Same here, never had a screen protector, the S2, Find 5, iPhone 4S, Nexus 5,... have all proven themselves to be very scratch resistant on the screen (the back of the 4S is clearly another type of glass judging from the state of it).
My latest phone came with a very well applied screen protector, but after a month that shows some scratches. When it comes off I don't plan on applying another one. I find they detract from the "feeling" of the phone as well, and I never seem to be able to apply them properly.
As for the person claiming that glass screenprotectors can protect the glass from shattering, I find that very hard to believe. The fact that you dropped it once without and it shattered, and you dropped it once with and it didn't doesn't really prove anything.
