The older phones had smaller screens though, the 6 is a lot bigger. Most of my friends with similar sized phones have suffered broken screens. It's the nature of a device with that mach screen estate that is a hand carry item.

I had wifi reconnection problems on my 2010 MBP when waking from sleep occasionally but since I upgraded to Yesomite it's been fine. It does sound like your ATVs are suffering from this, might be worth checking your WiFi setup like switching it to a different channel might help.

The iPad is a strange one, I didn't realise apple abandoned it after 18 months so I googled that one. Seems pretty poor of Apple on that one. My Dad doesn't really use his for much more than web browsing and photos so it still works fine on iOS5.

Morning chaps,

I have just upgraded to a 6, great phone and miles better than my 5.

I decided to treat myself to a ring tone from the app store, installed and working great. That was until the other day when I switched the phone off (day off!!!). On switching on, the purchased tone had gone, did a search on the phone and nothing. Have re purchased the tone, but now daren't switch the phone off.

Any ideas from the PH brain pool????

Oh yes, running on the latest iOS update.

Thanks in advance

with only 256M it's pretty limited - not being able to expand memory is my biggest gripe with the iPad (acceptable on a phone but not on a device used as a computer).

Or making your own if you have the mp3 on your phone, which again is easy to get hold of?

I didnt think people actually paid for ring tones since the demise of the crazy frog?

People always pay for things they want.

I wanted a normal "standard" ring tone that was a different pitch from the standard iPhone one that has everyone in earshot reaching for their phone when someone else's phone rings!

I spent 2 minutes searching the iTunes ring tones and found a suitable one (actually annoyingly similar to the ring in GTA V but I think I can change that haha).

It was 99p and it will last me the life of the phone so perfectly happy to pay for that smile

My 6's battery life is getting better and better. I got it on launch day and it used to be on about 40% after a day's usage. Now I'm getting to 10pm and still got 60% left! That's with everything on (wifi, Bluetooth, etc) and pretty heavy usage all day.

Really impressed.

Yes, of course someone may sell one thats cheaper but they tend to look worse and/or fall apart sooner.

I bought one of these for £13: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400774033311?_trksid=p20...
It's excellent value for money and when compared side by side with the much more expensive Apple-own version you'd be hard pressed to see any difference. Holds nicely in the hand without any of the slippery feel that some of the plastic silicon covers seem to have.

Edit: Whoops, looks like it's no longer available frown - maybe because it was a bit too close to Apple's own version.

Yes, and maybe I'm just too old and rich! Saving £20 on a cover to put on a £600 phone just seems a bit pointless.

Upgrade time at last and was going to keep my S3 and get a cheap sim but then I asked about iPhones. Still can't bring myself to pay the extra both upfront and monthly costs over the rivals.

Getting an S5 for nought upfront and £33 a month for 4G 2gigs/unlimited/unlimited and European roaming. That is Data and minutes as part of your package, so no crippling costs.

Ah well, I'll wait and see what the iPhone S brings to the table biggrin

Paying for ringtones is ridiculous and perpetuates what are already overpriced apps/songs etc on iTunes., but then you're the target market and they got a bullseye with you.

This may have been posted already but did a search and couldn't find it...

Anyone with a 6 (and possibly a 6+) check you fwd facing camera is properly aligned with in its aperture, if you can see a crescent shape of a different colour around it contact Apple and they should sort it for you.

Mine had this took it in today and they changed the display and camera mount. Obviously couldn't take a photo but here is a link;

My 6 has started being a bit random about attaching on bluetooth. It is also not syncing with itunes when connected to the computer.
