Anyone finding their 6 isn't that great at knowing which way up it is after waking up? I often have to "reset" the orientation by rotating the phone between portrait and landscape and back again when I turn it on. Bit of a git when it's in a car mount and you're driving.

Trying to work out if it's an OS or hardware issue.
Mine is slightly worse than the iPhone 5 for this.

It sounds incredibly cheap but you say it's over 48 months?

My head was saying 24, yet my fingers were saying 48 for my calculations, for some reason. Just checked, and its a 24 month contract, so I'm only actually paying £355 for the phone.

I knew it sounded a good deal at the time, but it really does look good now.

Set up my new 6 PLUS today.

Fookin Ell it is massive!
You'll be surprised how quickly you become used to it!
I've had a 6 for a couple of months. It now feels, if anything, a bit small. My wife's 5S feels tiny and the kids' 4s are miniscule.

I looked at a 6+ the other day and it didn't seem very large at all.

One's perception changes rapidly.

Good, now go apologise to all Galaxy Note users you mocked over the past years :P.

I just got my 6 on vodafone. No upfront cost, 64gb phone, unlimited text and minutes, 10gig data, subscription to sky sports, now TV or spotify premium. £42 per month.

The phone is great, but it seems to thin for my liking, so I've ordered a cover to bulk it up a bit.

Which subscription should I choose from the above list?
Cracking deal, congrats!

Had my 6 plus for a few weeks now and I love it. iOS 8 has more bugs than expected... hopefully Apple will hoover them up in the interim updates.

Sim-only deal of 1,000 mins / 5,000 texts / 3GB 4G data for £10/month.

No mocking from me - I looked on them with some envy

I disagree entirely. To me the 6+ is still comically big for a phone.

6 is the perfect size in terms of screen but 5 still feels perfect in the hand.

4 just feels like a chunk and the screen is horrible.

Screen protetors.

I had some cheap plastic one, and it was matt and dull, so I've recently purchased an "Anker® Premium Tempered Glass Screen" from amazon. I fitted it last night, and it's very clear and smooth (as the actual screen is). But it's barely covering the screen. There must be half a mm in it, so one of the sides is overlapping the screen, so when I look at it, I get this funny magnified effect.

Anyway, the glass is great, but is there 1 out there that fits better? The misssus has a 5C, so I got her one and it goes well over the screen and looks good. The 6 one stops 3mm+of the edges (yes I know they are curved).

Don't use a screen protector. Totally unnecessary.

The multiple scratches I put on my screen in the first week beg to differ.

It depends on what you need.

Having spent a month taking a 1 hour train journey to London and back - having something to read is nice.
Kindle / Ipad mini is too big for a pocket.

Iphone is too small to reasonably read the screen - without hitting "next page" every few words.
The 6+ is the right size.

Having a battery that lasts a couple of days is very nice too.

And as you get older - the increased size of the words helps a lot too.

Nope, my right pocket is phone only. Most of the scratches are done when using it with my thumb.

No, I don't work in a metal factory, I have a desk job.

Hmm don't know then. I have been using my iPhone 5 since it came out without a screen protector and I would struggle to find a scratch.

I take great care of my phones, and mine has light scratches too. If you google it a *lot* of people are reporting the same. They can be hard to see, so they don't bother me too much, but they are certainly there.

Scratches can be down to luck. I've had a 4 for two years, a 4S for three years and a 5 for two years, none had screen protectors and I never scratched the screens.

Within a week of getting my 6 I dropped it onto a hard, grit covered surface and put scratches all over the screen.

Keys are highly unlikely to scratch a modern phone so unless your thumb is made of diamond, that certainly isn't the culprit.

Obviously it wasn't my skin, something was on my thump and scratched it.

I had the same issue with my 5 as well.
