How do they come up with this stuff, what's wrong with 1920x1080?
I know it's probably for the scaling of apps, but ffs.
They'd be crackers to complicate app scaling for the sake of having an imperceptibly higher res screen, just so they can boast that their phone has a resolution based on a decades old TV standard. I know it's probably for the scaling of apps, but ffs.

My 5's battery is diabolical at the moment and my serial isn't eligible for a new one.
Gonna give it up for the 6 I think. Looking forward to being able to rely on a battery percentage - until the same happens to the 6!
Mine too. Mine is in the correct date range but not serial no. Mine has been known to power down at 39%, it's so unreliable and unpredictable. Think it's a bit of a kick in the teeth to acknowledge some are faulty but disregarding others showing the same symptoms.Gonna give it up for the 6 I think. From new, sept 2012. I wouldn't ordinarily expect any assistance/support outside the years warranty, it's just that the apparent fault as described clearly relates to a
greater proportion than they're happy to admit.
You mean two years, surely?greater proportion than they're happy to admit.

2 Years minimum, and potentially 6 years. Which they insist must be via the vendor, yet surely the underlying contract is with the manufacturer? If a premium product were to fail due to poor quality of construction or design within this timescale then you can reasonably complain that it was not suitable for the purpose for which it was sold. The replacement of faulty batteries and wake switches would certainly come under this.
