Hi guys

Approaching the end of my tether with my creaky iPhone 4 - had it since they were first released.

Is a 6 worth the cash? I'm considering a refurbished 5S or a new 6 at the moment, I'm not keen on changing brand.

I presume either would be a big step forward from my current phone. Mainly used for Internet and spotify.

Cheers

Battery life is much improved on the 6 over the 5

Battery is even better on the 6+. Phone lasts twice as long as my old 5s did.

That's because the battery in the 6+ (2915 mAh) is around twice the capacity of the 5s (1560 mAh). Better battery management for the bigger screen though.

Did they change it? Maybe try a new sim for the call issues. Maybe even try no sim and test the wifi. Something's not right (obviously).
It IS booked, didn't make that clear. Will see Friday.

I went from a 4s to a 6. Different world. Battery will now last a full day. Performance much better. Very happy.

Or the 6+ if you have big hands. Gone from charging my phone daily to just 2-3 times a week.

You are now free to treat it like a phone and not worry about it like some prized jewel.

I have a massive sense of relief once the first big scratch/dent comes along.

Wierd but its true!

Explained all the issues, the guy done diag, saw nothing really wrong but swapped it anyway. Result. Currently restoring it. Now I have a shiny new one too!

Past couple of weeks my phone hasn't been the same.
Overheating. Apps loading and then crashing and taking me back to the home screen.
Phone freezing.

Not good frown

Well the new one has problems too, or maybe my backup has. Apps freeze, camera doesn't work half the time etc.

Wonder if I remove all my photos etc and set it up as new.

If it's a 6 surely it must be under warranty ?

Will almost definitely be your backup, always set up as a new phone. Backups can just carry small bugs and issues over.

Yep, if the configuration file has thrown a wobbly somewhere you're just reapplying it.

be aware that if you're a fan of editing photos on the phone, if you manually copy the image files to your PC then you lose all the edits because of the stupid fking way Apple store photo edit data.

Just came here to post about Apple music, and seen I'm the last poster saying no dents, I got a big one, in the glass a week ago... lasted a long time frown

Anyway. WTF is up with apple music and itunes? Do I really have to sit on my phone to search for music, set to download and then create playlists? It'd be 10 times faster on the PC.

When I go into "on my device", in music, it just lists voice recordings. WHY?

Am I doing something wrong?
