I was due an upgrade this morning so took the plunge on an O2 simplicity contract for 12 months. It's £20 and gives unlimited calls and text and 3gb 3G/4G data.

If I get the new '6' I will just by outright. I'd bet a 3gb contract on the new 6 would be extortionate and if the new phone is presumably £500 like always (for 16gb) it's actually cheaper over 2 years doing it this way than the normal iPhone 1gb data contract I had before!

I tend to judge people with big phones as a bit weird. Indeed all these big mobile devices that let people hide from the real world makes me think people are social retards if they take them out into public/social environments.

It's really fun... we put loads of fun things on while you cue, if you pre order it's really fun as we have two cues one for walk ins and a (slightly) quicker one for pre-orders. Then you can do the fun things like have fun and eat doughnuts and drink skinny lattes we put on for you while you stand in the cue and have fun!'

Last year I ordered my 5S on the day of release from Phones 4 U, and had it in my hand by 11:30 the next morning.

Sod this queueing bks.

Any ideas on using a US handset vs a UK one if the antennas are still different for LTE and 4G?

My brother will be in the US coming home around the 22nd of September. I might get him to get one for me if it can be used here.

I don't know about the Playstation but I believe Microsoft have announced Streaming from the Xbox One using the Smartglass app. Could be quite nice to use the controller away from a TV using an iPad or iPhone.

What's the ETA for launch, 19th September still? I'm thinking I'm going to spend the cash on a new one as my current 5 is on its last legs and I can't be bothered to wait to get a better deal.

I was in the US when the 5 came out, thought I'd do the same thing, but was told you have to sign up for a contract there, you can't get a sim free one. Might've been BS, might've changed since.
