A higher speed card would be largely irrelevant in a phone. Class 2 or 4 is fine.
Depends on use I suppose. I regularly copy videos and music to my phone and it would be a pain if it was slow, you also want to be able to write HD video in real time, not have accessing the SD card slow the camera down etc...not tried a slow card so I don't know but with something as fast as an M8 I assume it'd make a difference.

Talk to me about Micro SD cards... I have a 32gb SanDisk Micro SDHC that I bought for something else but thinking I probably want more space than that. I'm not going to fork out £100+ for a 128gb one so 64gb it is.

You seem to be able to get one for around the £40 mark. Does that sound right to you lot?
I bought a 64GB SD card on Saturday in a shop which is part of a chain for around £25. Admittedly that wasn't in the UK, but I'd try to get something for less than £40 online if I were you.

Figures. It'll be several months before EE bother with that, if ever. Have I had it long enough to root it now...? hehe

I can't decide between this, or the Z1 Compact! It's about battery stamina you see! Then the price comes in to play. . . looks like the Sony might get tested . . .

Don't know about PAYG specifically, but they had quite a few SIM free ones at the 3 store I was in yesterday. £459 inc VAT. I assume you could just put a PAYG sim in it.

I've heard the Three phones are still Three builds NOT HTC stock. You'll have a Three CID and as such, have to wait for Three to push updates etc.

Power Chart. Reasonable amount of use (few pics, a bit of video, some gaming on the throne, facebook, texts etc etc) but with the Power Saver mode left on, have to be honest i have barely noticed the difference between having the mode on and off! Pretty pleased with this my S3 would be starting to whine at me!

I'm still fidling away, mine has "Extreme Power Saving Mode". Contract phone from O2...

Battery wise, I'm impressed so far, I think I will be able to go back to not worrying about turning wifi off to save battery. Over 15 hours since I charged it up and still over 80% on.

OK, EE have redeemed themselves:

If this is the kind of speed we can expect for future updates then I'll be leaving the handset on the stock build...

A doff of the cap to EE on this one, very speedy.

Yep, latest build. The third group of digits is the carrier code (61 is EE).

Ah,

Have you done much in the way of customisation yet? I was using Aviate on my M7 so had forgotten about all the widgets and what nots.

None at all, haven't even put my favourite apps in folders yet! hehe

I need to get my One X up for sale, will probably do that tonight.

I'm going to wait until my number is ported over before putting the One X up on the bay of death.

Anything else good in the update? Vodafone look to be their usual lethargic selves in getting the update out.
