Funk aside, has anyone tried the dot view case? I'm considering using it instead of the supplied gel case, as the screen is showing a couple of small marks and while it looks, as Funk so eloquently put it, "cool as fk", I'm wondering if anyone else had any experience with it?

I still love it, it's uber-cool, but I just don't get on with the filppy bit.

I still want a case, I stopped using the supplied one as it made it a nightmare to get it in and out of my pocket. Looking at the double dip cases.

I got Spigen cases for ours. Very solid, perfect fit.

Yep. In Smoooooooth Black. thumbup

£15.99 on Amazon.

The only issue is I'm keen on the HTC car dock when they come down in price, but I can't be arsed taking the phone out of the case each time I want to dock.

Had my M8 about a week now and came from two iPhones in a row (3G & 4S). Have played with Android phones through work before so was not a total leap in the dark, but I have to say the switch has been completely painless so far, the HTC software for getting contacts etc from your iPhone backup is flawless.

I've got the official car dock which is a very well made bit of kit, automatically enables the car app which is a great feature. I've now effectively got a big touch screen in the car and am streaming my music via a small A2DP BT device connected to aux-in - job jobbed.

One thing I need a bit of advice on is file management. I've just bought a 64GB Sandisk SD card and the Sandisk Optimem app doesn't appear to be working - it's supposed to move apps/media from the phone to the memory card. It tells me it's worked but it hasn't. What does everyone else use to manage their files, I'v downloaded File Manager HD but where does everything live? It doesn't seem as straight forward as the Galaxy S3/S4 which I've played with in the past?

Can I ask where and how much for the car dock?

I have a 32GB SD-card in but I don't store that much on the phone. I do know that some applications can't be moved to SD-card though. For general file-management I've always used ES File Explorer.

Cheapest I found was £36.51 on the bay from seller lambdatek - they deliver next day to a local Argos.

Ok, Cheers. I think I'll order one between us (my wife and I both have the M8) and just swap it between cars for long journeys.

What sort of deals are people being offered on the M8? Just had a call from Vodafone telling my my One X is for upgrade offering me unlimited calls and texts and 2gb of 3G data for £33.60 a month or 5gb of 4G data for £37.60 a month.

Any good or are the better deals out there? I'm not desperate to stay with Vodafone to be honest, their 3G reception is pretty ropey where I live and I can't imagine the 4G being any better.

Just ordered a Spigen case. The gel one that came in the box is looking minging already and was, I suspect, responsible for the loss of a £10 note this afternoon. I think it 'gripped' the note as I pulled the phone out of my pocket.

Anyway, this is the Spigen I went for:

Still toying with the idea of a screen protector again too.

That's the cover I use, even down to the colour. Great because it really protects the phone but it's still easy to remove from your pocket, does add quite a bit of bulk to the phone though.

Seems like a good deal.

I'm paying £48 for 5GB of 4G data, unlimited calls/texts, free Spotify. Does your deal include Spotify?

No mention of Spotify but I might have to angle for that. Is that with Voda?
