Aha! Merci beaucoup monsieur. Pardon pour mon numptiness!Actually, it would be nice to have a single override-all setting (something like reset factory but able to do it on a type-by-type basis)
Is there an equaliser for the sound on headphones for this thing? Boom sound has done pretty rich bass but I find the highs rather to bright and harsh. It's penalty my headphones but I would like to tone it down.
also the bundled HTC mail app is garbage. I thought it was having sync problems which caused previously deleted emails to re-appear. What its actually doing is deleting the emails just fine, they then appear in the deleted email folder and the phone pings you to tell you that you have new mail.... in the deleted folder. Dumb.

So when I got my new phone two months ago I was told on my previous context I used about 1 gb of data per month, my new contract on my M8 is 4 Gb but last month I ran out of data 2 days before end of my month, so I've downloaded watchdog to monitor what I use each day.
I've seem to be averaging about 130 - 150 mb per day.
However, last night I went to bed around 22:00, my phone was (and is still) on powersave, which states under data connection "put to sleep when screen is of" and my phone was on WiFi anyway.
This morning I open my phone and watchdog states I've used 760 mb today already!!?
No idea how, phone was not used, in battery safe mode, with WiFi on.
Watchdog doesn't show me what apps use what data, is there an app available that does?
Does anyone know an easy way (or indeed any way) of resizing pics taken with the phone's camera? Whenever I take a pic and try to upload it to PH, I get an error saying the file is too large, which means I have to transfer to my laptop, resize it there, then post it. There has to be an easier way!

Go to Settings and under Wireless & Networks, select more and then click data usage. This will show you data used broken down by app so you can see what has been hogging it. You don't need a third party app.I've seem to be averaging about 130 - 150 mb per day.

Yes, this is annoying! Also can anyone recommend a car charger?
Back to cases again.
The Mrs decided that she wanted one of these over the Sony, so it arrived this week. She had an S3 before and so far loves the look and feel of this.
I'm on the lookout out for a good leather fold case similar to the offering from Kumo on the iphone. This thing lives in her bag, and the state of her S3 is pretty bad really.

I've found an unusual issue.
When in my Spigen case, the phone misbehaves when on charge. The screen seems to 'mis-register' the presses resulting in it going a little crazy. Removing the charger returns it to normal behaviour. It is also fine when on charge out of the case. I'm at a loss to explain why this should be the case (pun intended) but it really does seem that the case is having some sort of effect.
Spigen have agreed to exchange the case for me so I can test with a different one and I'll be interested to see whether it does the same. If it does, I'll need to change cases as it's a very irritating issue.

I remember a couple of others here have them, good to hear you've not encountered any issues.
It's very strange - there' s no reason I can think of why it would do this but I can replicate the issue 'on-demand' so something's definitely amiss.
Phone not rooted either, standard HTC charger and USB lead.

I've just had a similar issue with my M7 so thought I'd post. I've just had exactly the same thing happen while my phone was in my new diztronic case. If I unplug it's fine, and if I take it out of the case it's fine. I restarted my phone and the problem is still there. When in my Spigen case, the phone misbehaves when on charge. I don't have much knowledge on this matter, but my only thought is that maybe the type of rubber/plastic used is causing some sort of static on the screen.
rather impressed with the battery on this thing. I was worried at first because the Lumia 1520 had a huge 3400 mAh battery and lasted 2 days easily. The HTC One has similar specs and only a 2600 mAh battery and yet, I can reach the end of the day (off charge at 7 am and on charge about 11 pm or later) and regularly have a good 40% left.
I have found that I can keep the phone in battery saver (though not the extreme one) and it runs perfectly fine. CPU-Z seems to report that when idle, the phone runs about 300MHz on the CPU. This jumps to 1-1.2GHz when you're doing stuff. If I need the power then I can switch off the battery saver mode and get the CPU to give the full 2.3 GHz but I haven't found an app that really needs that outside of games.
Efficient little thing!
Also I downloaded SwiftKey when I first got it but I found this to be quite choppy in use unless you let it use the full CPU speed. Especially with the smiley icons tabs. Those things grind along like nobodies business. Google's on swipe keyboard is much better, much smoother and seemingly just as accurate.

The case went back to Spigen this week so I'll wait for them to send out a different one I can test with. If it does it again I'll be asking them for a refund I think. It wasn't a cheap case!
