Yes, there's a 'Holiday Themes' option in the app.

If anyone's had issues with their HTC Backup failing at around 57%, the reason is the fkING FACEBOOK APP (which I don't even use and can't uninstall).

Head into the apps, force stop it and re-run your backup - it should work just fine.

Interesting, I stopped them the other day as I noticed it never seemed to finish and it was pissing me off.

Mine still won't backup to Google but it will successfully backup to Dropbox.

So apparently HTC have received the official android 5.0 from google today and have started work on making it work on the M7 & M8, which supposedly will be ready in 90 days.

Does anyone know if the M8 can be converted to run on WP8.1?

Looks like it might be doable, they're identical hardware-wise apparently...

I've recently had the Android 4.4.4 update (Software number 3.32.206.2) - Has anyone else noticed that phone signal seems to have deteriorated?

Battery life seems to have lessened too - as has performance when in power saver mode.

And let's not talk about changing the runtime to ART - That was spectacularly bad...

Does anyone know if there is an equivalent to Samsung's SIDESYNC I can use on the M8?

TIA

I've just booked a phone swap out - My HTC has a lot of dust inside the top lens and the inside of the bottom one is cloudy and, as a result, I can no longer take clear photos.

I'm on O2 business so it'll be a straight next day swap (well, Friday) - I think I'll have a close look at the new one though...

Have you tried it with a different charger?

Obvious question, but it might be worth checking.

Just upgraded to an M8 two days ago, and am very impressed. I came from a Sony Xperia Z, which I found to be a damn good phone, but the M8 seems a lot better in almost all respects. I love how quick the camera is to respond, and its low light capabilities. The boomsound speakers are amazing, and it's powerful enough to drive my Sennheiser cans with ease. It's too early yet to tell about the battery life, but after a few full charges/discharges, and when I get into a normal pattern of use (I've been playing with it almost constantly!) I'm hoping for great things!

Other things I like - it'll take a 128GB mSD card (already almost filled with music!), great quality screen, and the very smart design - my old Sony was just a big black slab! hehe

Thanks to recommendations on this thread, I've ordered a Spigen case (in silver) and some Vikuiti screen protectors. One of the things I disliked about my old Xperia was the little flap over the charging point, and the standard M8 case has one as well...

Had my M8 for a few weeks and only recently got round to taking a proper look.

I don't care what it does better than X, or faster than Y..

I can control my TV and Virgin Box with it, and my family have no idea why the channel keeps changing or why the TV keeps suddenly going to maximum volume. 10/10 :')
