Nope. I bought the phone from Giff Gaff and just put my Three simcard in it.

Update complete.. I've been using the Google Now launcher and Google Lollipop keyboard for a while so it doesn't look that different now. Seems a little snappier though.

Basically from what I can see it just changes the interface to the new "Material Design" look. Even though its been given a new number 5 its not that big of an update. Dalvik has been dropped for ART runtime I think that's probably the biggest update.

Still optimising apps - it's been 30 minutes. Minor worry when it sat at the HTC One screen for what seemed like forever...

Am I being blind or is the trusted places and smart lock missing? It's the one thing I really quite wanted.!!!

I use a pattern to unlock so something should show in the security settings page.

It's a bit crap, don't like any of the new features.

Hmmm seems it's hidden in a menu labeled trust agents. You have to enable smart lock there first. This is contrary to what I had read about activating this feature. It may be due to having developer mode also enabled.

It looks quite neat though. Just enabled it to stay unlocked when I get home...

I'm not keen on the system settings bit - or the notifications on the lock screen.

What else is there?

ETA

How do I get rid of this notification. It's even on the lock screen

Well, quite, but I find it does increase battery life....

You can tell it not to put notifications on the lock screen somewhere. But I think it will always stay in the pull down like it did previously.

It always lived in the notification bar on the top, but that was pretty unobtrusive.

As an aside - How do I change the notifications in the lock screen? When I first booted, it asked me if I wanted to see them partially, completely or not at all?

You can disable them by going to Sound & Notification, scroll down to Notification and then press "When Device is locked".

For the power saver, have you hit the X in the right of the notification? I did this earlier on today and I've not seen the message appear since then.

Thanks - got that

And yes, the X makes it go away - by turning it off smile (Which isn't what I want smile )
