Sony Xperia Z2

I'm loving my Z2. The battery life is an absolute revelation coming from an S3.
Tell me about it I'm a heavy phone user and my Z2 will easily last 24 hours on a full charge. I could stretch it to two if I disabled some of the more draining features. Sony have definitely got the battery life sorted.
I'm really happy with the rest of the phone. An initally concern that I had, as did a few others on here, was the plastic tag that keeps the micro USB cover attached. I've been charging mine using the micro USB slot since new (circa 2/3 months) and it is starting to loosen a bit. I've ordered a magnetic charger cable now (probably should have done this ages ago).
Anyone else having issues with the mic? A few people keeping asking if my phone is broken, as apparently it can sound quite hollow and distant when I'm speaking to them. I'm not sure if it's one of the settings, so I'll have a play around and see.

Gents,
Odd question I was asked by my BIL's wife at the weekend. How (on a Z2) do you get a message preview for a text to show on the lock screen? I had a quick fiddle but couldn't find any settings.

I discovered a few weeks back that you can add widgets to the lock screen. If you swipe the time while on the lock screen, it will bring across a '+' symbol. Click that, enter you passcode and then select a widget.
You can have a couple different ones, I have the time, whatsapp and 'hangout' (messages); which gives you a preview. You can then swipe between them. Holding down on them allows you to change the order and dragging down extends the widget to cover the passcode entry and allows you to read a few messages at once

No, I didn't and she ended up switching back to an iphone as she couldn't get on with it.I discovered a few weeks back that you can add widgets to the lock screen. Well the Z3 doesnt look much different in terms of what it offers to a phone user than the Z2..

Anyone care to share any deals they've had on this Sony?
Im in the market for a new android phone within 2-3 weeksIm not bothered about a Z2, Galaxy S5 or the LG G3 - I just want a deal
Orange retentions offered me a decent package but Im divorcing them on account of the new annual in built price increases
FWIW the people who phone after retentions have given a PAC offered:
free Galaxy S5
unlimited calls and texts
2GB of 4G per month
24 month contract
£28 per month
I am a bit scared of guzzling data on 4G and so would actually like a bit more for safety - I currently use a Gig on 3G
The best deals Ive found are through the usual comparison websites, all of the above phones are freely available at no cost for approx 30 notes a month with 4-5GB of 4G
What have you found?
Id be keen to compare notes

Is that with the cash back options? Which sites have you used? I had a look at money supermarket and saw some cheap deals, but they all seem to be for refurbished phones. Whether that bothers you or not, ymmv.
Not disciplined enough for cashback so I avid all of thoseIts interesting but whenever Ive had 5 mins of downtime for the last month Ive been comparing prices both direct and on the comparison sites
The deals on offer change by the day and even change over the course of the day too sometimes
CW currently have an S5 on Voda for 40 quid then 31.50 a month
Im sure Ive seen that deal with the phone bundled free so keep looking
