Have to say I couldn't disagree more. Personally, I think that this paint/wrap/whatever is hideous, and the 'flat' nature of the finish leaches the life out of the car. Not my favourite Ferrari, but far from hideous in a more 'conservative' finish. Don't get me wrong, I'm not belittling your opinion, nor do I want to start any internet "handbags" about it. I just don't like that at all.yellowjack said:

It's a lot better up close then in the photos, seeing Rosso 458's get boring after you see loads, this is a nice change, I know not everybody will like it BUT I do!458 by michaelbham243, on Flickr
Here it is before it got wrapped, it didnt look different to any others that are about.

Can't disagree that it looks more 'interesting' than 'yet another red 458' but I'd personally choose a nice deep dark blue (if I could afford one in the first place). Good on the owner for 'daring to be different' and all. Like I said, no judgement levelled against you for liking it, it's just different strokes for different folks, I suppose. There are some Ferraris which suit red, and only red really. I'm thinking 308/328 for a start. Then there are some which should NEVER be red - such as the 456. Others simply look 'better' in colours other than red IMHO, and the 458 is one of them. Just not in that wrap, though 458 by michaelbham243, on Flickr

I agree about the deep dark blue colour choice.. I also agree about red only on some Ferrari's and some which shouldnt be..yellowjack said:
I just walked down to my local Coop, Fernhill Road, Farnborough.
Rumbling past was this....
Plymouth Road Runner Superbird
Now it's not my photo (it looks like a Blackbushe meet) but it was that exact car. Utterly wonderful V8 burble, and such a huge car looked completely out of place on the mean streets of Cove. Totally unexpected spot, I wouldn't want one myself, but I'm so very glad to have seen/heard it this morning.
Not sure how 'genuine' it is. It may be the real deal, of a very good replica of the "Superbird" but either way, what a fantastic car to have. Whoever owns it - good on yer, friend.
This car was at the Pine Ridge meet last Sunday. The owner will be quite willing to tell you all about the work he has done on it; and the rest of his life history if you have the stamina to listen. He loves an audience. Nonetheless, an awesome looking car.Rumbling past was this....
