I just have matte screen protectors on my Z3. I don't like cases so this is the best option for me and seems to work well.
The tempered glass ones are even better; no air bubbles, retains the original look, and virtually scratch proof. Protects the screen far better also.

I did consider these, but I was put off by thick they were and how much they protruded from the phone.

Got a link? I'm out and about last minute shopping so googling is a PITA

Cheers

Had one of these since Xmas day, loving it... However, today for the first time massive battery issues, got home from work with 9% battery with less use than normal, normally get home with about 55%.

All apps shut, I've enabled stamina mode and lost a further 10% during a 15 minute taxi ride.

Any obvious things I should be checking?

This is usually a rogue app getting caught in a loop which chews up CPU cycles, with the associated effect on the battery. Have you had a look in Power Management in Settings? There are two useful screens in there now (on my full fat Z3 anyway), App Power Consumption and Battery Usage, the first will tell you of any apps preventing Stamina Mode from kicking in, and the second will give you an overall view of what's using charge. I'd definitely say something was up though, my full fat is still easily breaking the 2 day barrier.

Iphone 4s to Sony Z3C user here.

Had it since Jan and I love it. I bought a older Sony tablet to see if I got on with android before purchasing it and now I'm loving it.

Not noticed any real difference in day to day usage over the old 4s, apart from having a nice new battery of course.

Screen is really nice, clear and crisp. Cant complain so far. I've bought a dock to use at night, a magnetic charging USB lead for at work charging and a cheap case to stop scratches.

I fancy a better case though, anyone got suggestions? It needs to be easy on and off for charging in the dock.

How have you find the switch from iOS? Any real functionality you haven't found an alternative for? Also, any big pro's iOS could pick up on for you?

I've heard next month quoted for the Z3 and Z2, I imagine the Z3C will happen about the same time. From people I have heard on other handsets who already have it, can't say I'm in any rush - KitKat seems bloody good imo.

The only things that come to mind is I went from 3gs to 4 to 4s and each time it was a doddle to get all my numbers and photos etc from one to the other. Ive not bothered this time and I'm missing a few numbers but that's it.

I've been using iTunes for music and Ive not got round to putting any music on the sony yet, but I doubt that will be hard tbh.

Not really found anything on the Sony that Im missing from ios. Email plus all my apps work.

I always said the main thing for me and ios was it just worked. no messing about it just did what I needed it to do and that was fine. Some of the setup on the Sony took longer to sort out but now its doing what I want and Im happy with it. I certainly don't push it hard just basic surfing, email, apps and a bit of gaming and music streaming really.

Apols for delay, battery died hehe

Issue still happening today, down to 65% just sat idle while I golfed.

Am going to un and re install the 4 apps mentioned in consuming apps and see if that helps, they are WhatsApp, Flickr, instagram and fb messenger.

Am I blind / dumb, or is there not a default widget for Quick Settings? I want a widget to turn off WiFi without having to faff doing it within Settings.

Do I need to download an app instead?

I've been having relatively high battery usage lately. FB messenger showed up as biggest use yesterday despite not being used, wonder if a recent update borked it.

I've used it twice for 1 message each since Xmas day so I'm assuming it was that.

Didn't bother reinstalling it and it seems to be fine now.

My rear glass has just cracked on my 3 months old Z3C so on the phone to Sony now to discuss.

Hopefully they'll repair/replace.

Anyone else had this?

I have had mine since xmas, it's my first smart phone and it's being very good so far can't fault it though I still do prefer to text with buttons rather than a screen, I have a Ringke fusion clear case with a photo in the back which has protected it well from amazon. I just have the standard screen protector on it.I charge it with a magnetic charger on the side so I don't have to open the flaps each time, it's being fine underwater just to try it out though the screen does think the water is a finger and presses on stuff. I use it all the time to cast and it's brilliant. The size of the phone is perfect with modern phones being very big and old iPhones looking very small in screen size. My only criticism is the camera could be far better. My girlfriends iPhone 5s is better in most if not all cases but it's good enough

Just saw this. simply pull down notification with two fingers, then hit the wifi icon, must take about .5 sec to do smile
The two finger thing gets you to settings fast, try it, seems daft to have an app for something built into your phone.
