My full fat Z3 arrives tomorrow, very excited. Have ordered one of the magnetic charger cables I linked above so will let you guys know how well it works.

Colour wise O2 have an exclusive Mint Silver option so went for that.

Interested to hear how you guys gets on with the Z3's. I'm due an upgrade very soon, just need to make up my mind whether to go for the Compact or the full fat.

So had it a few hours now, loving it so far. Its quite big being my first 5" plus phone but its very nice to hold and extremely thin, it weirdly feels easier in the hand than my HTC One (M7).

The screen is gorgeous, bright bold and very crisp. The keyboard is taking some getting used to as it has a very small space bar, may install a different one.

Battery is superb, been cocking about with it all day, installing apps etc, currently on 88% yikes

Oh and its green, Mint Silver apparently = green. I was initially surprised and a bit perturbed but its actually grown on me very quicky.

You gentlemen are evil. I hadn't even realised their was a compact version, so have been reading up on it and seems I have ordered a SIM free one now biggrin Contract is up in 2 days and will be happy to get away from my S3.

Damn you.

Just cancelled an order for an iPhone 6, and swapped it for a Z3 Full Fat Minty Green jobbie.

It just keeps growing on me. Its lightning quick, screen is gorgeous and oh so bright, double tap to wake is my new favourite thing ever. Speakers are impressive, it now already feels very natural in my hand and no longer big. The green has really grown on me at some angles its green at others silver.

I have installed the Google keyboard as I prefer the space bar.

Oh and the battery. I took it off charge at 12:30, am working at home today so have been playing with it all day and currently on 75%. Its estimating I still have 2 days use left biggrin

Glad everybody is liking them, definitely going to be my next phone, just got to decide between the compact and the full size. Need to see them in the flesh I think, currently have a nexus 4 so the compact is similar size. Then there's the sim free or upgrade choice, if I stay with o2 it works out cheaper to upgrade by £20ish I think.

I got my full fat from O2 for £480 on refresh, he did say he thinks the price will be going up next week or so.

Size wise whilst is obviously very personal I'm surprised at how quickly I've got used to it, picked up my HTC One to factory reset it and it already feels small smile

Aiui the full size has the higher res screen but on a 5" device I don't know how much difference it makes

That was the clincher for me, the only negative for the compact was the lower res screen, just slightly less than the iPhone 6. The reviews of the full fat Z3 all bang on about it being one of the best screens on a smart phone to date, so I thought it worth the size increase.

My mrs took delivery of the compact version in green/turquoise yesterday, it's a nice looking phone. I haven't had the chance to rob it off her to check it out yet but it looks very nice and well built. The screen is only marginally smaller than my FFM8, the extra physical size in the M8 is with the speakers top and bottom.

The one irritation that would bug me is the flap covering the charge point which you have to dangle off when it's charging. That aside, looks good.

The thing that I really like about the Z's is the battery life

Glass does seem to scratch though is that any better on Z3?

Yeah, just pinged my mrs and told her to order one after reading back through the thread hehe

Any good suggestions for a car mount with charging and audio out to aux-in?

I also linked some Ebay special magnetic leads in an earlier post, have a couple coming this week. About £3 a pop.

Check out Brodit, I use one of their mounts for my original Z. Fantastically well built and they have used the magnetic charging points so no pissing about with flaps. Not sure if they offer an audio out, but they will charge the phone just as quick as a wall charger - quickar at times.

Superb bits of kit imo.

Spent the evening moving apps and data over, and a 128gb Micro SD is being delivered today. Chuffed!
