BT email/ID farce

My main email account is a BT one, however they have recently introduced some 'BT ID' bulls**t that I am not interested in, but am being railroaded into using.

They allowed me to skip 'upgrading' a few times, but I am now being forced into it & cannot access my emails from anything other than my phone.

I've gone through the process of ID selection, keeping it the same as my email address, yet when it asks me to enter my email password to verify, first I am told that the password is incorrect, & then for future attempts it just returns an empty password box - I then don't even get the 'incorrect password' message if I type in something obviously wrong like 'btc**ts'.

Any one else use BT & been forced into this? Have you experienced the same problem?

I need to set up another account for regular use, I'll now do this sooner than planned, but still need access to my account.

I'm having trouble on my iPhone but I logs in on my Mac!

Bloody annoying.

Sorted it, but had to go down the 'forgotten password' route - for which they emailed a temporary PIN to the very account that I was locked out of!

Am I missing something here, or is that a little illogical?
