Connecting NAS to PC?

Is there anyway I can connect a QNAP TS-469L to a PC without it going on the network? I need to check the NAS out before it goes on our infrastructure.

DO you have a spare router?

IF I was going to do what you're thinking about I'd use my spare netgear router, and just plug in my NAS and a PC to it. And then disable the WiFi on the router.

Can't see why that wouldn't do what you're wanting. Assuming you've got a spare router knocking about.

Or use your existing router and unplug everything, disable the WiFi and then just plug in the NAS and the PC.
