When you say wall mount, do they use the standard TV mounts. i'm seriously thinking of one of these for the kitchen. It seems perfect as a replacement for a small flat screen we have in there.
All monitors use VESA mounts (if applicable), you have to check the VESA size. usually 100x100 for this size of screen, which means the 4 screws are arranged in a 10cmx10cm grid. That size has to match the capability of your mount.

Using it as a tablet this evening, have found chrome/the screen going a bit unresponsive at times. Anyone else found that?

The only time mine has been a bit slow responding is when it was downloading the OS update (415mb) and updating the already installed apps. Other than that it's been fine.

This is because is displaying the page as mobile version, usually on the bottom of the page you have a link to desktop version and it is fine.

Some of the posts above are asking what TV you can watch. Everything from FILMON to XBMC and various other TV streaming apps. After the latest update on XBMC now the platform is running superb. Xnavi is full with all the latest movies plus much more stable SKY sport channels. Last night some people enjoyed the boxing smile I WAS TOLD. I would never think to watch pay per view event for free.......smile

What I mean is does it have a VESA mount on it. Its a big tablet rather than a monitor isn't it?

Sorry, I was just pointing to the spec you have to look for on both the screen and the mount :-).

Are there any reasonably priced options that have a larger screen? Looking for one for the kitchen / to use whilst having breakfast smile

27inch would be a better size.

You do have option of 27" screen...however it will cost you close to 600 quid frown$1099.00)
Acer will sell you one on the spot I am sure about thatsmile
Or you could go for the 24" version for only £350.00

Sorry to dig up an old thread but wondered how you guys were getting on with your Slate 21's? Just ordered one for kitchen TV/Spotify/Netflix/Sonos duties as our existing TV just died.

Currently have all our films on a Windows Home Server (WHS 2011). What's the best way to access these on the Slate? They are all loaded in Itunes as well so we can watch on our main TV using Apple TV but wondered what the best way to get at them using Android is?

Cheers
Graham

Have a look into Plex. Set up for the media server is a doddle on a windows machine.
It can then throw media at just about anything on the market.

Amazing bit of kit if you ask me.

Compare it to your own personal youtube.

Plex is free, the apps for Android, iOS, ... cost a couple of quid but well worth it.

Really fancy something like this for our new kitchen, again for web/TV/Sonos control etc. I see there's a new Slate 21 Pro out, anyone got that?

What are HP like for updating the OS? i.e., if I get this now, any chance they'll eventually release Android 5.0 (lollipop) on it?
