Can anyone recommend Toshiba laptops ?

A lot of Toshibas running Windows 8 have problems with the touchpad constantly disabling. You can sort it for a while by resetting the BIOS ..
I found that recent Toshiba laptops do not need you to press FM+F5 key to disable the touchpad.. The default is that just pressing F5 knocks out the touchpad. One of the F keys, F10 perhaps, disables WiFi. Had loads of calls with this after accidental keypresses, fix was to enable requirement for pressing Fn and F key together in the Tosh software. Like most laptops, you get what you pay for. The high end ones are very nice machines, but the ones built to an Argos specification with a 1Ghz AMD CPU and 1Gb RAM trying to run Win 8 are garbage.

It's pigging annoying.
With all the Tosh knowledge here, I was going to purchase this bad boy:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00H7911TQ/ref=...
For and i5 with 8Gigs and 1Tb and HD4600 graphics it looks good.
BUT, does it have a scroll bar on the touch pad? My current Packard Bell does and I spend a lot of time on the tubes and the lack of this will annoy me. Any help please? Thanks.

Current topic for me.
I know nothing about computers, except that I hated my experience with windows 8
My trusty old laptop has died tonight, so I need another one.
Don't want to spend much - 500 quidish. I don't use it for gaming or anything. Will want microsoft office etc as is a working / internet surfing machine / tool.
So - what do I buy?
(Last time I had to buy one I went to John Lewis, picked the prettiest one at about 500 quid price point and got lumbered with Win8. Don't want that again, and sure I can do better!)
Thanks for any help

Just to resurrect this thread, I finally made my choice:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenovo-Y50-70-15-6-inch-Ul...
The £100 off + another 20% cashback from Lenovo made it too good to ignore. Coupled with paying for half of it with my gift vouchers it means I'm getting a very high spec laptop for very little money
Thanks for all the recommendations on this thread, I probably wouldn't have looked at a Lenovo otherwise.
