BTW I picked up a g3 today and so far so good. The screen is amazing! Makes my galaxy nexus look so ancient.

I had a good look at the Sony z2, sgs5 and the lg. For me:

Sony - just that bit too big. I also swore I'd never own a Sony phone after owning a t68i back in the day. Should get over that.. Loved the z2 and the waterproofing, screen is great on that too.

S5 - liked it but the back looks crap. Plus every man, boy and chav will have one in 3 months.

Lg - slightly leftfield. 90% of my phone is used for video on the train, music and internets.

Vodafone did me a great deal as I mentioned I work in the public sector. They waved the cost of the phone £199 for the tariff I wanted and knocked 20% the line rental.
