I'll take it as a guideline, but not yet banned on the continent afaik.
Went for my first run with the watch today. Using voice control to start and stop RunKeeper was quite cool, but to be honest, a little start and stop button on the screen would probably suffice.
The screen is tricky to read whilst running as the font sizes are quite small, but there is enough screen space for them to increase the size if they wanted to. It would also be nice to be able to customise the display in terms of showing split times and so-on. Maybe these features will get added as they go along, as there is no way to change what gets displayed on the wearable (as far as I've found).
Overall it's a bit gimmicky - much like the rest of the Android Wear stuff if I'm honest! One thing I didn't count on was the rather disembodied vocal announcements to be played from my phone speaker as I was running along. I'd put the phone on silent before I set off too!

d and I'm concerned about the length of the strap as most watches are on the last hole for me...I've had a Moto 360 for just over 2 weeks. Had to wait a month for the order to be delivered (I live in New Zealand). It's a really nice watch, and the strap should be big enough unless your wrist is thicker than most peoples thighs 
Must admit within an hour of playing with it I was thinking, hmm this will end up in the gadget draw with a load of other stuff I've brought on impulse, put I actually use it more than I thought I would. Battery will last me a day, and I usually just put it on charge once I get out of bed - It charges pretty quickly.
The step counter is about 30% off of my fitbit, heart rate is accurate, reply to messages with voice is easy. Navigation seems to stick at calculating route, but if I start Nav on my phone i'll get turn by turn directions on the watch.
Overall I like it, but it's very much a version 1.0. I can see Apple looking at the short comings of Android Wear and it's watches, creating a shiny smooth iWatch and walking off with huge sales etc etc.....

New ones being announced at the IFA 2015 show.
Moto 360 v2. Strap pins are on lugs outside the case now, better internals, 2 sizes, still has the 'flat tyre' black section on the bottom edge.
Samsung Gear S2. Not massive, round (fully round screen, no flat tyre), rotating bezel for some controls. 'Classic' model looks more like a normal watch. Sounds great, but it runs Samsung Tizen OS, not Android Wear.
Huawei Watch. Round, massive, expensive.
Asus Zenwatch 2. Square screen, 2 sizes, shouldn't be Huawei/Apple Watch expensive.
If Samsung had the S2 with Android Wear, I'd be in line for one straight away. Why Tizen? Why??

I was wondering the same. If you are developing an app for a wearable, you go for Android Wear or Apple support. Even Windows Phone would be before Tizen so I think that Samsung would have to write all the apps on the platform for a long time to get it going.I still like my Smartwatch 3 and have just got the holder so I can put any strap on it now. Currently got a brown leather strap and an orange Nato strap.
I did look at the price of the Apple straps and can't believe people buy them. £200 for a leather strap!!!!
Today I decided to take the plunge and bought the Huawei Watch. One of the vendor techs came into the office yesterday with a Moto 360 Gen 2 and I had a play. Very nice and tipped the scales for me in favour of getting one.
Some further research into what's out there revealed that the HW and the 360 are near-identical in terms of specs but the HW doesn't have the 'flat tyre' effect at the bottom of the display (the 360 houses the light sensor there).
Very impressed with the HW so far, it came beautifully-packaged and was a doddle to set up. Time (excuse the pun) will tell whether I really use it properly but I've not got buyer's remorse yet...

All of the Android Wear are near identical. The Huawei has a much better display though, Amoled means it can be very readable without wasting a lot of battery (white hand on black face in "standby").Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
