I've got a friend who is looking for one, but having had one already from the thread I think that would be a touch unfair!
Speaking of which it arrived today (technically it arrived Friday but I was asleep so missed the delivery) and the OH is extremely pleased with it
I've weirdly just received another invite so have emailed you the link Speaking of which it arrived today (technically it arrived Friday but I was asleep so missed the delivery) and the OH is extremely pleased with it
A quick review of the phone from me:
I've owned Android phones for several years (Nexus 4, HTC Sensation, HTC Desire) at the same time as repairing iphones. The androids have improved each time I have upgraded and the biggest downside I have found with android is the skins that manufacturers add (HTC sense). The nexus 4 was fantastic due to being bare android and received updates quickly. The Oneplus is even better than this and has had several updates already.
The battery is fantastic and easily lasts a couple of days compared to my nexus that just managed a day. This further shows how good the battery is http://www.tomsguide.com/us/iphone-6-battery-life,...
The camera is great and as much as I would ever need for a phone. On a night out recently I managed to take selfies with the front facing camera in a nightclub which came out great. That is using no flash and the 5mp front camera. The rear camera is also great and slow mo video is cool.
Customisation is great and the double tap to turn on screen is really useful as well as double tap to turn the screen off again. The LED notification light can be used for any app on the phone and all colours accepted.
Screen clarity and size is great and I find it weird going back to a 4" screen now.
So far my wife, sister, dad and various friends have moved to the Oneplus from a HTC One M7, Samsung S3, Samsung S4 and iphone 5 and all are very impressed with no looking back.
I personally think it is the best phone on the market at the moment due to it's regular updates, great customisation, no manufacturer software and great build quality.
I have bought official cases for it, one clear, one white and a blue flip case. The clear one fits perfectly and protects the phone well. The white one was not the right shape so contacted Oneplus and they are sending me another one out no questions or cost. The flip case was out of stock in black so got a blue one to try and it's not actually a bad colour. It fits well and has the auto on/sleep feature on opening the front cover which is a nice touch. So far impressed with items bought.
The only downsides I can find for it is getting hold of one and finding a decent case/pouch for it as I normally use pouches for phones.
If anyone has any questions I'll do my best to answer them but will leave you with my final thoughts... If you can get one, get one!
