My son ordered one and it turned up in under a week.

Its on my office floor (we have been on holiday) to take home to him tonight and I will get him to post up his initial thoughts

I don't know about the phone but it's a lovely bit of marketing, making people feel special if they are able to buy one.
I think it is more down to money and production that they have had to do it.

Got mine now.
Seems very nice so far.
CM11S is much the same in use to my Galaxy running SlimKat ROM
but the bigger screen, extra RAM and battery are all good to have.

One thing I'm having an issue with....

I enabled the on-screen Nav Bar buttons (which automatically disables the hardware buttons). Then unlocked and drag-to-change the position of the on-screen buttons, so that they match the positions of the hardware buttons.

But once the screen turns off, the next time the screen comes on the on-screen buttons have reverted to their original positions (with the Back button on the left hand side)

Could somebody else try it and see if theirs has the same bug?
Cheers

Oh, sure, it's a means of managing demand in the face of limited supply. It builds it up in people's minds as being something to aspire to and so even makes the lack of them into an asset, makes people who don't have them want them more and people who have them cherish them more.

As I say, it's marketing, I have no problem with it, it's a very effective means of doing it.

yes

I've heard from a reviewer who checked the production date on his One+, it was produced AFTER he ordered it.

It looks a lot like my Oppo Find 5 (and apparently they are pretty related), which is high praise!

Well he was too busy to post but he is really impressed and from the brief look I had it looks (and feels) like a solid piece of kit. Staggering value for money.

Anybody tried what 4g coverage is like with the missing band 20?

From a couple of reviews it has been mentioned that it does not work on the 800MHz band 20 which unfortunately is where most of the UK 4g networks work. EE is supposedly OK as some of the others in some areas.

OnePlus's response was that they only expected that band to be used in Europe for rural applications (due to better range) not cities but the UK seems to be using it everywhere (despite it offering lower speeds than the higher frequency bands)

How long did it take from order to delivery Alex?

Also, does anyone have an invitation going spare...?

Need a new phone and this looks like a good bet.

Be sure to look at the Oppo Find 7 as well.

I ordered on Saturday and was delivered this morning by Royal Mail. I went with standard delivery. Delivery times appear to be very similar between standard and express so probably best saving £5. I haven't received any invites yet I'm afraid.

This is a phone I am tempted with. I live the OnePlusOne's price, but there is something about the Find 7 that I like... Not sure what that is though haha
