I need an invite if there is one going spare. Full disclosure: It is for a colleague of mine at work who missed out on the pre-order window (not for the want of trying!). Email via PH is fine. smile

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Sorted now, thanks very much smile

Got my Pre-Order One yesterday.

It's very nice, still getting used to the size coming from a Nexus 5.

Ok so, the tech specs (WRT telephony) of the OnePlus One are [all numbers in MHz, and only interested in 4G frequencies here]:

2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100
4G Network LTE 700 / 1700 / 1800 / 2100 / 2300 / 2600

According to an article on techradar, the networks use the following frequencies:

4G Voda Bands: 800 and 2600
4G EE Bands: 800 and 2600
4G O2 Bands: 800
4G Three Bands: 800 and 1800
4G BT Bands: 2600

However, according to the GSM world coverage map, the networks use the following L frequencies:

4G LTE Hutchison (3) 800/1800Mhz;
4G LTE EE (T-Mobile) 1800/2600Mhz;
4G LTE O2 800Mhz;
4G LTE Vodafone 800Mhz;
4G LTE UK Broadband (UKB) 3500/3600Mhz;
4G LTE BT 2600Mhz- Planned;

So there is a slight discrepancy there. The latter info agrees with other posters that it's only EE and Three. Techradar reckons that those two and Voda will work. I guess we will need someone to confirm if they are on Voda and tried to use it and it doesn't work.

Not being a geek here -
- o2 & Vodaphone are no go cos only 800 offered but not supported by 1+1
- BT although 2600 supported, is only as 'planned' (ie not available yet)
leaving
- 3 on 1800mhz
- EE T3 - on both 1800 and 2600

does that mean EE is the best or does it not matter that both frequencies are supported?
Obviously 3 is the cheapest by far

I think that's what I said isn't it? Anyway, I think the techradar article intimates that - 3 is using part of it's 3G network I think, so in theory may struggle in the future with bandwidth. I *think* that EE might be the best, as it has more available 'pipes', if I may use tech vernacular. I'm not sure if it's as simple as drawing that conclusion from straight comparison, though. Someone who actually works for the networks and understands the frequency spectrum would have to answer that definitively.

The camera is shocking, but the rest of the phone has really surprised me. They're only £209 now too.
