209 for a 64Gb phone? That is incredible. Also gutting :P

A few days in with some good use and I'm very happy with the battery life of this phone. Far better than the Nexus 5, hopefully it doesn't get too bad with age.

Really loving the customisation options. Particularly with nova launcher - stock launcher only allows 4x4 grid of icons. With all that beautiful screen to use!

It's for the Xperia Ultra.

Richard - I found my invite on the XDA forum. Might also be worth trying out Reddit, there's a good thread on there with people giving them out every hour or so.

After having talked myself out of getting one, deciding it was too big, and getting a Z3 compact instead I was surprised to have an invite arrive from my forum registration (August) last weekend. Unsurprisingly I threw the z3 idea out straight away and ordered one on Sunday evening, with a week of 12 hour days ahead express delivery was a bit pointless so imagine my surprise to get home on Tuesday to a note that it needed picking up from the sorting office.

The phone is as good as expected but I was really surprised by the packaging. For the price I'd expected it to just arrive in a plain box but they really put some thought into the 'unboxing experience' (and the usb cable).

Absolutely, it has a real premium feel, very 'apple'!

The only let down in this respect is the charger. The USB lead is beautiful (ok its at least nice) but the 3 pin adapter and charger combo is darn ugly!

Whilst it's cool to have so much storage available, you don't really think how bloody long it takes to copy everything you want on there!

My OnePlus One just arrived, and now I'm wondering if I should have gone for the Nexus6 instead.

I haven't even opened the package yet. I'm such a tool.

Anyone after one, before I open or decide to send back?

Yep. I think I have a lot of stress in my life, and I somehow make myself believe that a st phone is to blame, rather than running a business and going motor racing!

Which one did you go for? Might be interested.

Bought mine in a somewhat impulsive purchase in the open pre-orders. Looks like a great device though, can't wait until it arrives.

Newer O+Os come with an actual branded 3 pin USB charger, rather than the terrible generic adapter plug and Euro charger.

I also echo the point made about the packaging, it's high quality, bespoke in every detail and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into it.

Bit gutted, price slashed and a better charger, still very happy with it!

Price is still the same unless I'm going blind... £229 or £269?
