The novelty of glancing at the battery percentage when on charge, then looking a few seconds again and seeing that it has gone up....then repeating the process a few times isn't bad hehe

Hahaha, though I do wonder how much "good" this does the battery? I know car batteries didnt like to be fast charged too often and trickle charging it was a better option.

Is it using Android or is there another user front end on the Android front end?

Fair point. It does reduce drastically the charge rate once mostly charged though. Plus 2800mah replacement batteries are 14 EUR from Oppostyle.

Has anyone with the OPO had the yellow screen issue at all?

The find 7 seems overpriced in comparison.

I suppose at 14EUR its not too big an issue is it!

Indeed it is a bit more expensive, but the OPO seems to be having several issues that I have read about, but havent seen much about the 7 (yet)

I decided to screw waiting, and bought a Find 7. Had it a few days, and I really like it. Have had to install a very poor piece of software on it for work purposes, which is hurting the battery life, but overall it isn't bad.

Lovely screen, very snappy to use, and has some nice features (the tap to wake is quite good). It is almost getting to the size that you can't use it one handed easily, but I can get by, any bigger and it wouldn't be possible. The pulsing blue light for notifications is rather nice as well..simple things. wink

Edit - One annoyance though, you have to take the battery out to swap out the micro sd card (also applies to the SIM card). This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't a faff to get the back off (you need to push in a small button near the bottom to get it to unlock), so if you intend on swapping round sd cards a lot, this is definitely not the device for you.

Is it a 7 from China or a 7a UK version out of interest? Where abouts did you get it from? Thanks

Well, I've had my OPO for a few days now and it's wonderful smile

It was built 2 weeks ago, has no yellow banding, perfect call volume, etc, etc.

The only personal irritant is that the power button is lower down than most other brands; but that's only because I'm used to one that's higher up. Will take a little while to get used to it's location smile

Mine is the International version of the Find 7, and I got it from the Oppo Style store - http://europe.oppostyle.com/

If anyone has a spare invite... Fer Jr. Has been trying for ages, hopes to get one before his Nexus 4 dies.

I agree with the power button. Took me a little while to even find it!!!! Luckily I really like the double tap to turn it on and also double tapping the notification bar to turn it off smile

It's a recent built phone too but don't know exactly when. It has no yellow screen issues or anything other problems smile

They'll come .... eventually. Although I've got 2 phones now, I've not had any invites to share yet.

It came from the one plus side, as he has an account there.

Does anyone know if I'll likely be able to buy one in December (contract finishes) or will it still be invite only?

I haven't been sent any invites to share yet. The most guaranteed way was to have signed up to their forums awhile ago - they were sending them out in order of member number.

Their forums are full of threads to run share systems...but as hardly any shareable invites have been sent out they aren't working very well.

If I get any I'll send them to PH first. Their production has been ramping up massively so they should be more available over the next few weeks.
