I also have a code for a 64GB.

GLGN-TEF8-JTQB-PH1E. Expires soon I think.

How small are your pockets?!

I don't think I have any trousers/shorts that the Oneplus won't fit into!
Most of my jeans are regular fit, I've no doubt the phone will fit in them, but will have to remember to take it out before sitting down (e.g. the car) otherwise it'll be a struggle to get it out!

Ah yeah ok, fair point.

It is a bit corner-y and can dig in if you sit down awkwardly. It's also difficult enough to get out of a pocket when sitting down. I have to admit I ended up sticking with my HTC as the Oneplus One is a little large for my small hands so size is a genuine concern I guess.

Thanks for the invite! I've just ordered one and a screen protector smile.

Can anyone recommend if I need to get a case, or does it not need one?. I've managed not to smash my Nexus 4 in the couple of years I've had it so assume that the one is less fragile and less likely to need one?

Im seriously considering going for a OnePlusOne to replace my iPhone 5 in a month or two.
I need a bigger screen as Im fed up having to always zoom in to see web pages etc and Im not prepared to pay for an iPhone 6 or 6 +.
Im ok with iTunes and have seen an app that enables it to sync and work ok with android so thats sorted.

Few questions though -
is the Sky+ app available (and work ok) for the oneplusone.

Is there an equivalent to iMessage for android?

What is the reception like compared to the iPhone 5?

Ive read of low call volume, has anyone noticed this?

Sorry if they're basic questions but Ive got virtually no experience with Android.

1: Yes. Works a treat for me.
2: No idea. Have never ever used an Apple device yes
3: No idea (as per #2 above), but I'm on 3 network and I've had no grief at all.
4: I've heard of people complaining about this, but again, absolutely fine for me. I wonder if it might have been an earlier version of CM that caused it (only guessing/speculating).

If you were local to me, I'd offer to meet up, so you could have a play with / borrow the phone for a while.

There may be someone near who could offer smile

Hmm, depends how you want to use it.
I found iMessage to be a pain, and every alternative (SMS, Hangouts, WhatsApp,...) to be superior.
How are you using iMessage and what's the benefit for you over regular SMS? (genuine question, not rhetorical, to see if there's a viable alternative)

How does the iPhone 6 plus compare with the One size wise? I notice both have 5.5 inch displays...

Eta, looks like the 6+ is slightly larger... http://www.phonearena.com/phones/compare/OnePlus-O... might try a pocket test next time I'm in town...

It's only that myself and two sons are on three with iPhones , we do have WhatsApp as well so maybe I've answered my own question without realising.

The iPhones are usually pretty large phones for their screen size. The iPhone 6 is the biggest 5.5" phone I've seen. The OPO is a big phone as well, only slightly smaller.

Had mine for about a week now, impressions:-

  • Love the size, perfect for me, I don't have a tablet nor want one so this is great. Makes my M8 feel tiny, especially considering the capacitive buttons
  • Screen pretty excellent in most respects, whites are slightly off especially towards the bottom of the screen, but nothing too bad
  • Camera is pretty average, you can take potentially good pictures (in good light, anyway) but its not as good as some for quick shots
  • Speaker is pretty good, loud and clear, not quite as good as an HTC One M8 but pretty good, most will be happy
  • Headphone quality seems good to me especially with AudioFX. Set to totally flat but enabled, bizarrely, it still seems to enhance sound somehow. OPO <> M8.
  • Although Cyanogen is still KitKat, the sheer amount of options and customisability out of the box massively exceeds practically any other phone I've used.
  • Performance is never less than very strong. Battery life is one of the best I've used, averaging around 6 hours Screen On Time on a daily basis; up to 10 hours SOT at home
  • Back feels lovely in the hand, but gets dirty easily and I'm not convinced it will stand the test of time.
  • Vibrate function is pathetic. Thankfully the speaker is loud.

Overall, I love it. OS updates aside, it is very much like a next gen Nexus 5 on steroids.

A first gen iphone and a Galaxy S2 have seen me through the past seven years. This OnePlusOne seems like the next step forward.

Does anyone have a invite they don't mind parting with?

Cheers
