Friends. Reading about this handset for the first time this evening.
Sounds interesting. I am using a Nokia N9 (meego/linux) thing. Its a great phone. I went to VF this week and was horrified to see that a HTC One M8 was £525 sim free!
I am not a techie any more - I used to work for Nokia, so the obvious choice would be a Jolla. Is the OnePlus One better?
Also - Tuesday will not need an invite!!

I see the next One+ phone is due this year, I wonder if the price will remain such good value.

I've gone from an M8 to the OnePlus. I would say it was an upgrade. It doesn't feel any more bulky in the hand, but the screen looks MUCH larger (not just because its .5" bigger, but also the off-screen buttons free up a LOT), the battery life is better (and the M8 wasn't bad here), it's FAR more customisable out of the box, the camera is noticeably better, the sound quality through headphones is on par or better, out of the speaker not quite but not far off. Although, I'd say the screen quality of the M8 is *marginally* better (the whites on mine are slightly off at the very bottom), and believe it or not, gets faster updates! Probably feels a smidge quicker, but the OPO is hardly slow (about Nexus 5 quick - and probably quicker in games etc). For half the price though, the OPO is a FAR better buy.Sounds interesting. Some of the touches are cute, like they provide a Micro and Nano SIM tray, and you get a keyring SIM tool - what's the point you ask? Well I work in IT so I have to eject these things from peoples phones daily, and I'm always losing those bd things, so this is a godsend for me. Get one, you wont be disappointed.
The Power Bank 10000mAh battery pack will go on sale on Tuesday 17th March http://blog.gsmarena.com/oneplus-power-bank-finall...
The Power Bank battery pack will be launched tomorrow... In America. Because of some reasons, it's difficult and expensive to ship batteries, and they're working on getting them here at a decent price. https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/about-the-onepl...
Royally pi**ed off at the moment, as my 1+1 has suddenly developed a weird display fault where the screen is dim and has "smeary lines" that seem to build up following any bright content on the page. So it's almost unusable
Factory reset hasn't helped. Installed "patch" from 1+1 support hasn't helped. I can't get any useful response from "customer support" about how to return the unit for repair or replacement. Grrr. any suggestions that don't involve frozen sausages?
