Is anyone using these on giffgaff?
you can't - wrong network provider - phone doesn't support all 4g.Limited to EE (TMobile?) and 3
I'm in London all week so have 4g most of the time and home at weekends - my old out of contract phone would have been fine.

So why go for a high end phone (was when it came out)?

For me the connectivity is a very small part of the phone, I like the screen, the processor, the battery life, the OS and so on. I'm in London all week so have 4g most of the time and home at weekends - my old out of contract phone would have been fine.
Anyway, it's not as if it was that expensive in the first place, so why not?
The slowness of Giffgaff 4G is well documented on their forums in areas of high populations density like London. I can well believe that it's much better for other networks like EE but it just isn't important enough for me to care about switching.

I've had 4G all day but when I'm out of wifi range I tend to be walking or driving so I'm not browsing.
Apologies in advance. Ladybird question.
I am a Vodafone fanboy and the OPO will never work on the VF 4G. Should this put me off buying the phone? To date, I have never used 4G and nor do i see speed of download an issue.
I dont get 4G in the wilderness of Wiltshire, nor at work.
I think i answered my own question.
As you were!

Don't really know why the fk anyone would be a Vodafone "fanboy", but anyway...
My speeds on Vodafail were about 2Mbps on 3G.
Most other rivals on 3G get much better results (Giffgaff / O2 excepted but this was years ago).
I'm on EE and get between 10 - 25 Mbps, the lower end is 3G.
To be fair to Vodafail, the 4G network is 40 Mbps, other half has an HTC M8 and that's what her phone is benchmarking on 4G. You can't get that on the OPO though. Decision is yours, but I'm happy enough with my OPO on EE.

I've been a OPO owner for a while now. I have recently swapped from Giffgaff to EE. I was impressed with Giffgaff and internet speeds were fine on 3G. My only issue with Giffgaff was internet while on the move rarely worked. I didn't find it a big issue but sometimes a little frustrating. I'm now on EE and no issues on EE either to date. I haven't really been on any journeys where I've needed to use internet so not done a comparison for on the move internet. Just done a speed check on my EE 4G and got 47meg download and 11meg upload so good speeds, but in reality, it doesn't seem any different using it than the Giffgaff internet on 3G.
