Stupid question perhaps, especially as mine is now in the UK and I await the good old Royal mail to deliver to my door.
What is the customer service like?
How can i be sure that this has passed all the SAR (emitted radiation) tests? I guess the units have to be CE marked, but how can one be sure that they are safe?
The reason i ask, is the the paypal receipt came back from a persons name rather than a company. Strange.....

From reading the OnePlus forums, it seems on eof the drawbacks of the phone being such a bargain (especially at £219, that's outrageously good value) is there is almost no customer support. You are more or less on your own. I have no idea how you can be sure it's passed the tests. It uses fairly standard components though, and it seems the construction is much the same as other, bigger manufacturers. I can't imagine it not passing the tests or being that different to other flagship phones.

To be fair though, there is also virtually no customer support for Samsung or Google Nexus devices either. In both cases I reported several serious software problems (complete bluetooth stack broken on the Nexus, and FS broken on the Sammy) and in neither case did any customer service folk even give me the courtesy of a reply let alone fix it. Some kind hacker in the modding community fixed both issues in the end after months of repeatedly prodding the manufacturers.

The back of the phone is marked with both the CE and the FCC so if the Americans are happy with it I'm sure it's perfectly safe! What is the customer service like?
