Read something about the +2 a while back (so it might be bunk) but they increased the power and the screen, but kept the battery - so worse battery life. That's one of it's strengths tbh.

I find on auto brightness the screen is taking ages to adjust when going outside into the sun. Probably 4 or 5 seconds. Normal?

Have taken to having it on full all the time.

64 gig has dropped £50 down to £219 and the 16gig is now £179.

Well, I say that, the price on the website has just gone back up again to £269. But it was at £219 a few minutes ago smile

It's back down again to £219 smile

Not a cache issue at my end, so I'm guessing a round robin server thing!

Do the newest builds of this phone still have the touchscreen issue(s)?

The 16gb version is showing out of stock, is that to be expected or are they just limiting the number available at £179?

Guessing that they are limiting the quantity of stock they shift at the lower price. I read that they have more stock daily, so worth trying again tomorrow.
The 64GB is still in stock - I can add to my basket easily.

Good luck!

I dropped my OPO in the sea on holiday a few weeks ago, and just ordered a new one today in the Flash sale for £219. Good timing by OPO and still a great phone for the money.

Balls, it's the right time now but it's still saying both are out of stock frown

Had one in the basket yesterday too but it had gone before I could click the buy button.

Stupid question perhaps, especially as mine is now in the UK and I await the good old Royal mail to deliver to my door.

What is the customer service like?
How can i be sure that this has passed all the SAR (emitted radiation) tests? I guess the units have to be CE marked, but how can one be sure that they are safe?

The reason i ask, is the the paypal receipt came back from a persons name rather than a company. Strange.....

From reading the OnePlus forums, it seems on eof the drawbacks of the phone being such a bargain (especially at £219, that's outrageously good value) is there is almost no customer support. You are more or less on your own.

I have no idea how you can be sure it's passed the tests. It uses fairly standard components though, and it seems the construction is much the same as other, bigger manufacturers. I can't imagine it not passing the tests or being that different to other flagship phones.

To be fair though, there is also virtually no customer support for Samsung or Google Nexus devices either.
In both cases I reported several serious software problems (complete bluetooth stack broken on the Nexus, and FS broken on the Sammy) and in neither case did any customer service folk even give me the courtesy of a reply let alone fix it. Some kind hacker in the modding community fixed both issues in the end after months of repeatedly prodding the manufacturers.

The back of the phone is marked with both the CE and the FCC so if the Americans are happy with it I'm sure it's perfectly safe!
